Brave, strong, and badass? There can be only one person that fits that role in gaming:

Does Jason Brody count? He massacres pirates and such and is called a "warrior"

Samus Aran, while a bounty hunter, I think should also count

Johnny Gat of course.
Takes a Katana to the stomach, still able to send his opponent to his knees.

I would go with Captain Titus from Warhammer 40k Space Marine. He may be an Ultrasmurf but he is competent and badass.

Put it this way the /tg/ board of 4chan admire him.

Akihiko Sanada.
<spoiler=Akihiko><img src=http://media.eventhubs.com/images/p4a/character_header_akihiko.jpg>
How cool is that guy? In high school he was undefeated boxing champion, after graduation he went world-traveling to train some more. By the time Persona 4: Arena starts, Akihiko reached such a level that he can knock out guy in one punch and dodge bullets. This guy is a badass.

Chie Satonaka.
<spoiler=Chie><img src=http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120401023956/megamitensei/images/e/eb/Chie_Satonaka_render.png>
Don't let her sunny allure fool you, that gal is a certified ass-kicker (accent on "kicker"). She is not called "Spunky dragon with deadly legs" for nothing!

Mitsurugi Heishiro.
<spoiler=Mitsurugi><img src=http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110608105341/soulcalibur/images/thumb/e/ee/Soulcalibur-v-20110607100306613.jpg/1000px-Soulcalibur-v-20110607100306613.jpg>
You're a samurai, a master swordsman in the age when swords slowly getting replaced by cannons and rifles. What do you do? Abandon your art? Learn how to shoot? Hell no! You're gonna train so hard so that even bullet won't be able to harm you!

Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame. Despite being human, both of them carry enough magical firepower to lay waste to anyone that makes an enemy of them, even gods.

And by that, I mean both of them individually are that powerful. If they ever focused on the same enemy, they'd be unstoppable.

What about this guy?

One of my favourite warriors though is this character. Those who have played the game will understand. No shits are given she will destroy you very very easily and she looks totally badass doing it, she is definitely a one woman army and she has a great story as well which gives her very human qualities despite her near invulnerability.

Solid Snake.

Brave? Yes. Strong? Yes. Badass? Yes.

Maybe not a warrior in the typical sense, but definitely a selfless, capable and practical fighter.

If you don't want walking dead spoilers, don't look below:

True, he may not be the most skilled or powerful, but that just makes it all the more impressive that he keeps going despite the odds being stacked well against him.

an excerpt of Connacht (pictured) who later becomes Balor (explained) really THIS IS A WARRIOR!

Balor is the final, and most powerful, incarantion of the Leveler that is seen in the current age of Myth: The Fallen Lords. He is in command of The Fallen Lords, six sorcerers general of terrible power, who are trying to destroy the world with an Army of undead, trow giants and terrible beasts.
He once was the Hero of the Wind Age, Connacht the Wolf, However after he killed Mogaim the Faceless Terror, owing to the Cycle of Light and Dark, he was possessed by the spirit of the Leveler at the beginning of the next age. He is a powerful warrior who is also highly skilled in the use of magic. As Balor, and using Connacht's knowledge of the artifacts of power, he is in possession of many powerful magical items which increases the effectivness of his Armies a great deal. First was his armour that was near impenetrable and bestowed great endurance in battle and second was his magical sword that called called forth flightning from the sky capable of anihilatinng pretty much anything.

Lack of Siegfried in this thread disappoints.

I would have put Nightmare, but he's not really a warrior, the armor's just a shell, and the sword's... Well, a sword, not a warrior.

The protagonist of Mask of the Betrayer in Neverwinter Nights 2. As the Spirit-Eater,he can literally devour the souls of Gods, men and spirits. The evil ending has him doing many awesome things. He tracked down the souls of the people who betrayed him to their respective afterlives, and consumed them there and then. He comitted genocide of the Githyanki race and enslaved the Gitthyanki children, to deliver them to the feasting chambers of the Mind-Flayers ( They feed on brains ). Later on, he becomes such a huge threat that the Faerunite pantheon ( Gods essentially )rallied against him, losing many of their number, and only managing to drive him off to elsewhere.

I've yet to see any character perform a feat of equal greatness.

I am talking about Geralt of Rivia, The White Wolf!
One of the best Heroes of any RPG, well to me anyway. :D

I mean he has two swords for different types of enemy.
... and a badass necklace.

EDIT: I also forgot the beard.

Naked Snake/Big Boss
I name the original Snake over the clone because he's demonstrated how awesome he is countless times.
He takes on a team of super soldiers and wins, he keeps the cold war from escalating a number of times, he kills his own mentor and can never really get past it, he's lost his eye and came back more determined than ever, he starts his own army, and that's just to name a few examples.
The guy really is a one man army. I may not like Peace Walker's story, as it was rehashing plot points already developed in MGS3, but it is a damn good demonstration of just how unstoppable Big Boss is (though MGS3 is, as well).
