The Guardian newspaper each Sunday ask a celebrity a selection of predetermined questions which always reveal something about their personality. I thought it would be interesting to gain the answers of the "unfamous" people. Here is mine:

With which historical figure do you most identify? I'd say Andy Warhol because I'm awkward and David Lynch because he's whimsical.

Which living person do you most admire? My mother and David Bowie.

What is your favourite journey? Home.

What is your favourite fantasy? Being very successful to the point where I can do anything.

What is your most unappealing habit? Wearing sunglasses all the time.

Considering I view myself as a pretty big deal, and indeed one of the more important things that has happened to anyone who has had the great luck to converse with me, I will take time out of my day to satisfy my hordes of fans with some answers.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
A saturday morning, the sun shining over the snow outside the window. Breakfast made ready for me.

What is your greatest fear?
I am not one to reveal my weaknesses so easily.

With which historical figure do you most identify?
Vladimir Nabokov, for his afterwords to Lolita.

Which living person do you most admire?
Richard Bona, perhaps. Anyone with proficiency in either Bass or Trombone.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
My lack of social skills.

What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Ignorance and arrogance.

What objects do you always carry with you?
My moleskine notebook and a pen.

What makes you depressed?
Other people being angry with me. Failing at things I consider my good at.

What is your favourite smell?
Gasoline, perhaps. Or maybe the exhaust from cars ca. 1990.

What is your favourite building?
The house I currently live in, aka my parents' house.

What is your favourite journey?
The journey to school on a sunny day where I'm starting late and am well rested.

What is your favourite fantasy?
Magic powers, or inventing something amazing. Preferrably something cybernetics-related. Sort of like the stuff in Deus ex.

What is your most unappealing habit?
My tendency to pick my nose when I'm alone.

Should the Royal Family be scrapped?
Eh, I'm indifferent. I'm a bit of a romantic though, so I'll say no.

Do you believe in capital punishment?
No. I believe prisons should aim to help criminals, not punish them.

Do you believe in monogamy?
I don't believe humans are inherently monogamous, if that's what you mean.

What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Would it be too pathetic if I said it was a cartoon character I had a crush on as a child?

Which person do you most despise?
Answering that question might put me on probation...

How do you relax?
Anime, drinking, smoking, manga, playing instruments.

Do you believe in life after death?
I see no compelling evidence for such a thing existing, so I stick to the null hypothesis of "there's no such thing".

How would you like to be remembered?
As "That guy who couldn't walk down the street because all the orgasms he induced would disrupt traffic and also was the undisputed ruler of the universe"

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Shit generally works itself out if you're already in the privilieged position of living in a first world country.
Also: Try not to care so much.
