Sometimes songs are written to depress us, sometimes they make us cry, and sometimes, they make us angry. But I am sure we have heard a song that made us happy.

What is a song or a set of lyrics you've heard that can put a smile on your face?

The one song I've found that makes me happy, no matter what (Isn't an Electric Light Orchestra song) but "Octopus's Garden" by the Beatles, and the line that makes me smile:

The song is overall happy, but that line... It's perhaps impossible to hear that and not smile, just because it's so innocent.

So, what is your favorite happiest lyric or song you've ever heard? After all, we can't all be pessimistic all the time.

I guess the happiest was from a christian rock song : "My God's not dead, He's surely alive and he's roaring like a fire, burning on the inside!"

but that's just me.

I have several I have been finding a lot previously
.. then again what makes me happy is probly different

Its happy and junk

Its a remix of the already happy and epic theme at the end of a great game. How can one not be happy listening to it.

Not sure if its the song or Nathans amazing dancing that makes me feel happy.

Seriously. Listen to those words. Take them in fully. How could you not think this song is incredibly happy? And it even comments on how it knows it's all sugary and doesn't give a damn! And that's why I like it so much despite being the ultimate pessimist.

guess I was skeptical when I first met Dr. Martin
He said we could build a baby out of DNA
And although it was expensive it was legal in the states where it wasn't banned
It was Betty who suggested that we skip the parts of me that she can't stand

So we made an appointment and Betty went alone
They worked out the details and then called me on the phone
To say congratulations Dad

Now things are getting better for Betty and me
We're making us a baby that's just like me only better
And Betty says he'll be taller
And Betty says he'll be smarter
And Betty says that our baby will be better than me

Betty was pretty firm about our baby being human
I said we should give him wings and nice prehensile tail
He could travel with the circus making money, making friends with clowns
Betty said that's stupid and for God's sake would you turn that TV down?

Now I've seen Betty happy, but she's never been like this
She glows like someone's girlfriend in the middle of a kiss
And I'm excited too

Uh...Soterios Johnson and First of May I understand, but you realize that "Betty and Me" is about a guy in denial about his wife's affair with the Doctor, right?

It is about a genetic engineering experiment and how happy the expected father is. The song is full of magic and awesomely up beat :D

The doctor sends her underpants and wine. And when he says they're working on a baby every night, he doesn't mean in a test tube. I'm telling you, it's about how the dad is either too stupid to realize it or in denial about Betty cheating on him with Dr. Martin.
