I like hunting solo, choosing the rifle and preping the ammo belt and cleaning box, making sure all my hunting knives are their sharpest, then waking up early around 4 am hop in and outta the shower make my lunch ,everyone is asleep, apartment is dead quiet.
Slipping out the door and down to my toyota, the decent drive outta town when theres barely anyone on the road, and once I hit the wilderness its gets even better like your the only one on earth, no obligations or trappings, just the clean damp air utter lack of background noises that would distract me dosen't even matter if I get anything really, once saw a five point white tail I just let go, coulda shot him but I didn't, early snowfall that year spotted him while I was walking through a slash, he was just inside the tree line at around 100 yards looked at him through the binocs cocked my 7 mag, but then just changed my mind and sat on a stump and ate my beefjerky sandwhich and continued watching him till he disappeared further up into the treeline. Only one I ever let go I hope he's still alive and ruttin.
And besides that when I do get something I havn't got a freezer big enough to store all the meat so I distribute it around to the family that I can get ahold of as I never really visit nearly as much as they like. Fucking love the bush, the breeze is fresher, can see farther, and its so peaceful each time I go out is like giving my mind a hot shower.
