Question: When taking the picture/video, do we have to be in it or can we take a screen cap of the game on our computer and send that in?

I was wondering this myself. Not interested in taking a picture of myself for the world to see. I didn't even let anybody get pictures of me during the Escapist Expo!

I wondered this and compromised by having only my thumb in the shot.

As much as I'm sure less than 500 people will enter (unless it gets viral) I really don't want to have to go through the work of making a clever video that associates a joke related to the playing of hatfall.

Or I may not even be capable.

You can also simply upload a picture / screenshot of you playing the game, link them the sweet pic and you're in. If everyone had to upload a video about them playing Hatfall, it'd be to much of a pain for those who lack the equipment / recording equipment.

Do make sure the screenshot / picture is of you doing something radical though. I had my picture taken of the wizard blushing as I aced his test. Though I can't get past round 14 because all of those clones throwing me off and s*** hitting the fan.

I do have the appropriate camera for the arrangement. Hmmmm, I guess I could.

DDR3? People still use that? You're not truly PC master race unless you use at least DDR4 for base memory. If I was to win this rig I'd likely pass it on to my nephew, the only person besides myself in my family that might not load it down with bloat, trojans, and malware, requiring me to fix it and possibly /format c: every 2 months. Sadly I'm about as photogenic as this guy -

you're joking, right? most ddr4 is double the price of ddr3 counterparts while offering single digit percent increases in bandwidth performance, and unless you have a shit ton of computers (such as a server farm/big ass company) then the energy efficiency/price savings is negligible for the average user and/or gamer.

It'll be a nice step up when it becomes cheaper and more widely used, definitely, but I have yet to see any of my gamer friends on here or IRL even consider going to DDR4 yet.

OT: meh this is a nice give away, but I don't care enough to do all the social media uploading/sending in part for a computer that's only relatively better than mine in a couple spots, good luck to anyone who's looking for a new rig though.

Yup, welcome to the geek community. You have your introverts and your extroverts. Us introverts aren't photographed anywhere, not even by our own family. The extroverts? As the Oracle said, we hear about them all the time. Whenever you hear a story about a youtuber making millions or a startup selling out to microsoft, that's a geek that has evolved past old structures, limits, and boundaries. I however am as introverted as ever and refuse to compromise even on my own behalf.

According to the rules, the winner(s)will be notified through email and also receive a DM through this website. The rules also state a winner will be notified within 15 days of the drawing. At time of comment, it's been 7 I believe. So, hopefully one is announced soon.
