Gee, I wonder... Could it be the casting choice of the Hobbit movie? I mean, that could make sense in a thread about the cast for the Hobbit movie... But then... I dunno. I mean, the TC didn't spell it out for us what to type here. Maybe we should...

OT: Well, he looks hobbity.

Actually, rules state there must be something of discussion value.

OT: Do not want Richard Armitage, at all.

Oh okay. Well they're all experienced actors and I'm sure they'll do a good job and get paid for it.

A fantastic contribution to the topic. Now, do you think they physically fit the discriptions of the characters in the book?

Not really, but then that's what CGI and makeup is for.

True. But makup and CGI only get you so far. You have to admit, Andy Serkis does look like Gollum and Sir Ian McKellen is pretty spot on for Gandalf.

Well, that'll knock down the makeup budget a peg or two which is probably a good thing.

Interesting choices. I don't really think Martin Freeman looks the part, but then, Bilbo's always looked like this to me:

One of the follies of growing up with that bizarre animated movie, I suppose.

Doubtful. Those elf ears from the other 3 prolly didnt hold up to well over the years. Not to mention all the hair and beards that need to be made for the dwarfs.
