Dispite being 3 years old, The Hub Network is still relitivley new, and hasn't quite found a cemented niche in it's programming yet outside of being a Pony & 90's reruns channel. Not to mention, most of it's animation lineup is either from Hasbro themselves, the 80's/90's, or aquired from other distributers. So how can Hasbro create said niche? Simple, create a cartoon anthology series featuring shorts from various cartoon talent to serve as a testing ground for new cartoons on the network, similar to Nickelodeon's Oh Yeah Cartoons! or Cartoon Networks What a Cartoon!. And since Hasbro is a toy company, it also allows cartoonists the oprotunity to put their own spin on Hasbro's brands. This would be a smart move for 2 reasons. One, it can give creators an oprotunity to get shows the more mainstream kids networks would turn down a chance to shine. And two, it can give The Hub a diversity boost for an oprotunity to find and, cement an actual niche other than just 90's reruns and good toy based shows.
