As you know, Apple has made lots of high tech gadgets over the years and seeing how Microsoft already has 2 consoles, out do you think that Apple will ever step up and make their own console?

Never mind what I said before about E3
But I don't think an apple console would last long.

I don't think so.

(E3= 3 main game companies)
No, E3 is the name for the Electronic Entertainment Expo, and E3 looks better than the acronym EEE.

Apple already tried to take on the Playstation, N64 and Sega Saturn in the 5th Generation and failed abysmally.

I'm not sure if they'll want to have another go quite so soon, not while the 360, PS3 and Wii are still strong.

Their only chance is to secretly make some sort of unimaginable, all powerful mega-console with plenty of software and AAA titles on release, and kick start the 8th generation early with it's release, but I doubt they have the technical prowess or stable of game developers to do that.

Barring a miracle, playing catchup and releasing second rate versions of existing games for their phones is about all they can do in the game's market, IMO.

I think it will happen, but only if you learn the difference between THERE and THEIR. If and only then.

OT: Maybe but it won't be next generation or we would have heard something by now.

Maybe Handheld, maybe the Ipad'll be good for games, I disagree already, cause portable doesn't mean the size of a sold A4 piece of paper which if bent costs you £400.

I think perhaps they will try it, and fail. Knowing Apple, they'll try something that is over the top innovative and different, and because the market at the moment is just "I want a console that does stuff" they won't do very well. People want to be able to move a stick to move a soldier, not something incredibly mind bendingly complex. Apple will probably stuff it up, but who knows, the Wii did something different and look what happened there.
