Alright, the backstory is that while flipping thourhg one of my sisters tabloids, I saw a picture of Chris Brown wearing a massive piece of bling shaped as everyones favorite pink fluff Kirby. This magazine however managed to write a massive story about how "Who knew Chris Brown loved pokemon, as you can see by the pokemon he wears around his neck that's clearly a pokemon and nothing else!"

Do your friggin' reasearch at least. My God. Infuriated I rushed to the escapist to ask if and when you have experienced videogame ignorance that made you want to wave a stick around.

Also, pic for reference: http://turbo.inquisitr.com/wp-content/2010/08/chris-brown-kirby.jpg

Hopefully, Chris Brown is as annoyed as we are.

OT: I'm sure I have experienced some sort of videogame ignorance, but I can't think of any specific examples.

Tabloid - Research

Think about what you are saying. A Tabloid doing RESEARCH. That's like expecting the BNP to exercise political correctness. (Topical humour)

It is true though that Tabloids tend to jump to conclusions on the slightest cue - Either way, it is a ridiculous mistake

This is a tabloid paper we're talking about. You could hire a monkey to shit on paper and it would produce a better story than them.
I surprised they didn't try stick a pun in there such as, "Who knew Chris Brown also enjoyed a bit of punchy-mon too?" unless they've forgiven him for beating the shit out of his ex-girlfriend.

I can sort of understand why a lazy journalist would make the confusion. However obviously the key word is lazy.

OT: An example of ignorance in a video game: In Pro Evolution Soccer Management, for some reason the offside trap is called "Office Trap" above another button saying "Do Not Use Offside Trap"

How the editor didn't catch that...

I don't deny it is stupid since that is my point. Tabloids are based around being ill-informed and reactionary bullshit artists. I don't expect them to ever produce anything of worth.

Also, forgot this:

By giving us the opinions of the uneducated, journalism keeps us in touch with the ignorance of the community.

Jigglypuff does not approve because it is most certainly the one being confused with Kirby.

Dude, it's a tabloid; what'd you expect? Tabloids are practically printed using liquid ignorance instead of ink and printed on sheets of solid stupid instead of paper.
