Hey there escapist's I'm in the mood for some music so lets be collaborative and make a playlist.

To make a spoiler use the following tag:

{spoiler}...your text or video tag goes here...{/spoiler}

N.B.
Remember to replace with square brackets i.e. these [ ] not these ones { } or the tag wont work.

First find the video you want on youtube.

Next copy the URL, for example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plWnm7UpsXk

The bold text is the video identifier and it always comes after the = in the youtube URL. This is the part we will need to make the tag work.

To embed the video use this tag:

{youtube=the bold text goes here}

N.B.
Remember to replace with square brackets i.e. these [ ] not these ones { } or the tag wont work.

[HEADING=3]Lets play that funky music...[/HEADING]

Sure, here you go - a few bits and bens from me.

That's all I can think of for now. I tried to make it reasonably varied.

EDIT: Cracking thread, by the way! Don't know why I didn't think of this myself *whacks Barbas with newspaper*. Might have to bookmark it.

OMG, the inclusion of Pulp, Siouxsie, Devo, PiL, Bauhaus, Wall of Voodoo, and The Residents only makes me love you guys even more. ;)

BTW, Ringo's drum fill at 2:27 is a study in sheer brilliance.

Below is a higher-quality audio version, but I also had to post the official video because it's SO worth watching!

Nor sure if Barbas will be pleased or horrified that I've got this in my library.

Am I the only one not getting any sound with these videos, or any videos on the Escapist right now? Because I'm not for some reason.

EDIT: Oops, never mind. I was an idiot.

Eclectic music ho! Here's something from basically every genre and sub-genre I listen to.

Trad Metal:

Power Metal:

Death Metal:
The first five minutes are basically Intro to Norse Mythology. You may wish to skip that.
Thrash Metal:
Punk Rock:

Hardcore:
Yeah I know they're "Melodic Hardcore" and not "true" hardcore, shut up, I like them.
Ska-punk:
Folk Punk:
Blues:
Rock 'n Roll:
Soul:
Horrorcore:
Someone posted this in an earlier thread on decent hip-hop. Can't recall who, but thanks.
Nerdcore:
... The fuck is Voltaire?

Oh it's been a while since the last list-whatever-music-you-like-thread I participated in. So...lots of music. Here are some (approximate) genres:

Fun fact: Escapist gives me a "Comment too large error" (never thought I'll see that) so I'll split it in half

Part 2:

Now, thread is bookmarked. I wonder if someone can turn it into a youtube playlist later?

EDIT: Added JPop & JRock category
EDIT: Added an Opeth song because that has been glaringly amiss in my list :p
