I had another thought regarding this... While I can't consider myself the target audience for this type of product, I can see the neatness in the sense that whether or not you access it by 2D or by 3D, the data of the site is not doubled, making it sensibly efficient, not an "either/or" alternative but a "this/and" possibility. If 2D ever goes out of style for viewing, it wont be any fuss to "upgrade" or "downgrade" as desired.

First off:

LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag

Second, after the page loads you'd have to "walk" over to what you want to view? I like instant gratification thankyou. I still use command prompt to change settings, test based writers to code, and a pen and paper to play multiplayer.

That being said, everyone should sign up for it and meet on this thread.
The sheer concept of that gave me a slight giggle as well as a faint chill. I'm not entirely sure I like where this technology's going.

Imagine. The Escapist Forums, which takes the 3D appearance of a trendy cafe. Drinks are served as people debate and discuss, gin being the favourite.

Suddenly, some cock-bite comes in and starts mouthing off. Oh-oh! Someone reports him. The walls and floors of the cafe fall away, taking us with it, as a hammer the size of worlds descends from the sky...

Aside from certain users' avatars being awesome, this is largely inaccessible for forums or text-based pages. Probably be great for image galleries, if I didn't lag like crazy, but it's a kinda neat idea.

Ultimately, I'd like to see browsers more stream-lined, not bogged down.

One day, when they make the 'net for 3D, then they can call me back. By then, the umpteen-core processor, 2 TB of RAM, and 500 TB flash-drive 100 PB will run this just fine.
hey you can see my old portal stick-man avatar, cool.

Surprised this is aussie though, really didn't expect that.
True. Though, one of our own, Victor Chang, was one of the world's best cardiologists. That, and we invented the Hills Hoys.

As for the browser... let's how it is. I'm generally of the impression it's just a gimmick, though I hope I'm proven wrong.

No! I don't want to see any of you sick freaks in full three dimensions!

I can barely stand you people in two dimensions.
A little harsh on Kiwi's, but I'm sure they'll understand.

Ignoring the porn...no wait I can't, lost my train of thought now. GO PORN!

EDIT: Errr....
