Oh god! Now we are going to be swarmed with pony threads everywhere. Great... to to retreat to facebook and minecraft.
What minecraft servers are you playing on that you don't have to deal with bronies? For that matter, how few nerdy friends do you have that facebook is safe? I see pony avatars even on facebook, and these are people I know in real life, not people I met online.

OT: Look, guys, the bronies are as sick of the pony threads as you are. I mean, sure, we talk about the show amongst ourselves, but we keep it to the usergroup, or at worst, make one big thread to discuss something specific. I started the other thread that's up right now because I wanted to head off the influx of anti-bronies who keep posting "Why is My Little Pony so popular?" threads. We need a sticky.

Ah, bollocks.

Looks like I'm playing Minecraft until Skyrim comes out.

Like ponies? Knock yourself out, but nobody else wants to hear about your fucking mediocre cartoon (yes, I have watched a few episodes, it's nothing special).

Comparing poor Luke Allen to hitler? Man oh man, that's just not nice.
Do you know what the word 'analogy' means?
Ignore Xanthious. He's usually a pretty good poster, but pony threads either legitimately make him flip out, or activate some deep need to troll within him. There's no convincing him; I've tried.

I'm not sure that I understand the obsession with My Little Pony. The animation quality is decent, but other than that it just seems like another cartoon show.

You know what. I watched the new episode of Season 2. It's pretty good actually, didn't see anything meme worthy though.

Dear god... It has happened too soon, we are not ready. It seems I will have to re-purpose my zombie survival kit into a FiM survival kit. I won't survive long none of us will. We will all be Bronies before long.

Pfft, I'm not worried, I have a fullproof plan to weather the Brony horde storm while being perfectly safe and inconspicious.
They'll pass right past us and never suspect a thing! There's space for a few more people, now taking reservations, non-smokers preferred.
Can I put one down :D I promise that if I get a place, I'll make Flaming Sambucas for everyone!

All gamers are morbidly obese basement-dwellers who play WoW all the time and pee in a bottle.

See, anyone can make up a ridiculous generalization based on one person. Thought you were the only one, buddy?
I didn't make any generalizations at all. I listed multiple definitions and then provided a picture, the first one mind you that was an actual person and a person that went on record to explain to the world what bronies were. I let the fella asking what bronies were draw his own conclusions.

If you are drawing a conclusion about that poor bastard that you find unpleasant that has nothing to do with anything I've done. I simply put the information out there. If you think he looks like someone with a collection of human hair and a rape dungeon then I don't know what to say. Maybe you should use some of that bronie love and tolerance to not judge poor old Luke.

For all we know he may be the salt of the Earth. . . . . or he might be one of the thirty odd percent of bronies based on a poll from Equestria Daily or some such site (going to look for a link to that) that admitted they watch My Little Pony based porn . . . and if 30 some odd percent are willing to admit it what's that say about the actual number. Just sayin.

I've been playing a lot of Fallout recently.
Does a vault joke fit here? It feels like it does.

I gotta say, if I were Luke Allen, the fella in the pic below, I would be pissed at the brony community. This guy went out and on record in an interview standing up for the bronies and put his face out there as a proud brony and the brony community can't distance themselves far enough away from that poor bastard. They get out there spouting off about love and understanding and tolerance but as soon as someone brings up ole Luke into the conversation you'd think that the person in question just called all bronies something beyond horrible. Tolerance, Love and Understanding go right out the window as soon as he's brought up.

Hell I brought him up in this thread and one of em went straight for the Hitler card. Where's the community when it comes to standing up for ole Luke, a proud member of their community? You don't see a single one of em say "Yeah that's a member of our community and we are proud to have him". Quite the contrary. They get away from him like roaches scattering from light. I guess tolerance and understanding are all well and good just as long as you don't make the mistake of standing up for the brony community and take a somewhat unfortunate picture.

Keep our heads down? Screw that.

We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the forums and in the threads, we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender.

No matter how bad the odds are, we shall fight.

And although the words needed to fight it are ready to go, I only wish the Escapist would allow the PICTURES that fight it.

[strike/]I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU! RAAAAAAAH!!![/S]

*Ahem*

What I meant is, I hope I can preserve those things that have been corrupted and game on.

I know I'm breaking my own rule by responding to you (you're a good poster when it comes to everything else, but in pony threads you may as well be a religious fundamentalist for all the good arguing with you will do), but I have to defend the Hitler thing: the guy who did that was saying that Mr. Allen is no more representative of bronies than Hitler is of the human race as a whole. In fact, I'd go so far as to say he's less representative of bronies than Hitler is of humans, because bronies tend to be quite a bit younger than Luke, while the human race does have a tendency to commit genocide. Bronies are mostly highschool and college students who are too old to fit in the target demographic for most cartoons, but too unemployable to avoid having lots of free time. Many of them fill this time with cartoons, and many of those people like My Little Pony. Hence, bronies.

Edit: To make it even more clear, he wasn't saying that Luke Allen was on the same level in any way as Hitler is. He was saying that referencing him is almost as pointless as referencing Hitler; he was calling a brony version of Godwin's law on you, before you called the standard one on him.

he's right in a sense. They would appear to be the new "furries" from an outsider's perspective on both. In the sense of, "Agh what is this bizarre trend that kills my boner".

lol.

But my point in the post you quoted still stands and was just beautifully demonstrated by you. You folks can't distance yourselves far enough away from this guy and it's hilarious. You didn't come out defending Luke you came out and said he is the "brony version of Godwin's Law". Hell you said people are more likely to be prone to genocide, fucking genocide man, than bronies are to be anything like Luke Allen. Could you throw him under the bus a little further?

This guy went out and did an interview saying "Yeah there are chaps out there that like My Little Pony, I'm one of em and it's ok be this way" and for coming out and defending the lot of you bronies he's been pretty much ostracized for his troubles by the people he was out there trying to defend. Love, tolerance and understanding indeed.
