i wolud love an iphone, everything they have like wi-fi, GPS, the music and video's, phone and text messaging...it sound like the perfect piece of technology for me a student.

however as most of us know the first generation iphone failed. The screen broke very easily, it was very very expensive, it was only on contract and not pay as you go.

is the new one worth buying, i have heard positive things on the web from manufactures and distributors such as apple, phone stores etc but of course they will say its good to sell it.

so is it worth buying?

P.S
im not bothered about the bad camera quality and i will be getting it on pay as you go

I just bought an iPod touch, and got a camera phone with texting. That way, there aren't any monthly payments on the iPod.

I love my iPhone, it's super. It can get a little slow with some larger apps and when your text convo's get very long but it's small things. The camera quality is great, mine took this picture.

the iphone isn't that bad with the 3.0 os it adds the cut and paste feature, that should have been included from the beginning

other than that you should really use a bluetooth headset with it as the mic isn't the greatest

Oh look who's trolling iPhone threads to shit on them again.

I'll tell you, farmerboy, what I tell everyone: I spent several months investigating, testing and playing with iPhones before I committed. In the end, the cost had come down and the prep-work I did meant I knew it would be a good phone. And it's a fucking fantastic phone. It's like an iPod Touch, only you can send and receive calls and text messages. Definitely worth it.

Find a friend with one, play around with it for a while. There are no real flaws that matter - just the same niggly little things that are on all phones, like the alarm doesn't fade in, or you can't change from one app to another mid-flight and have to exit and enter another. But every phone has those few little things you want.

And this is from a person that has never had an Apple product before, and never liked the iPods.

It is selling faster than crack laced hotcakes. That probably means something to somebody somewhere, but I personally can't stand Macintosh.

It was in the goddamned first page. We've had so many threads on this subject that he could have just used the search bar. There's a reason I write those articles and rants; it's because the subjects come up so often that it's more efficient to just link to something I wrote earlier.

I can do that on my phone. You should, logically, be able to do that on yours, except that Apple decided to go counter-intuitive.
I note with amusement how you cut out part of the quote to include only the most inconvenient thing: that when you enter an app, you can't swap between it and another app on the fly, so you have to exit to the menu and open the previous app - which, I'll add, actually keeps the data from the previous time you opened it to minimise an already insignificant inconvenience of half a second.

Seriously, man, stop trolling iPhone threads to make yourself feel justified.
