I recently watched series 1-3 of the IT crowd on netflix here in the US, and was wondering if the show is still running?
As another note, do most British shows run off the series option of only 6 episodes at a time?

British shows are generally shorter than US shows...sotmimes its just better that way

I don't know to be honest. Only 6 episodes per year? At least they can work on the writing with all that time. The next season will be the last from what I hear.

It's funny to watch people on the Doctor Who staff talk about the grueling nature of adding an episode (Christmas specials) to their 13 episode seasons since I grew up on seasons that were over 20 episodes long. And you pause and consider that yes, it is double the length of a lot of shows on British TV.

Then again, the US is moving to a lot of shorter seasons.

It is a great show that if you are on the escapist and like British style humor you should watch.
