Rantview: Bullet Witch
Bullet Witch feels like one of those games that has been ripped straight out of an Anime, or more accurately a shonen (Boy's Anime/Manga comic - Thanks Caimekaze) as if you have access to the XBL Marketplace you can actually download various kinky clothing to sexy up Alicia who in turn helps to show off her finely curved body by prancing about, flipping and cart-wheeling more than a gold medal gymnast on steroids, and ensuring that she pauses mid-cartwheel that extra second to give a glorious upskirt shot worthy of nerd level nosebleeds.
So the world has run amok, ghouls and other demons have pushed humanity near to extinction and the heroine here Alicia has been resurrected as a witch with a gun bigger than herself typically filling the anime rule of war for girls being: Less armour + Bigger weapon.
The gameplay seems to work okay. Fairly standard but has a few hairline fractures in it that can be quite noticeable when you reach that point. The weapon system is fine. You gun transforms to what you desire from Assult Rifle, Shotgun, High Calibre, and Minigun which can be enhanced respectively to empower the rounds with Fire, Wind, Light, and Lightning, but this is where things can get tricky. While in combat you can do these cartwheels and prances to help avoid getting gunned down into a sexy piece of Swiss cheese, but to empower or cast any spell you'll need to tap RB or LB to quickly try and scroll through the spell list which is hard enough to read without all the fancy embroidery covering up half the text. It's manageable but just annoying. The spells themselves look fairly impressive, impaling a small squad of ghouls or blasting back an entier road.
So the game plays out to be quite fun though slightly repetitive, a small variation of enemies.. and I mean perhaps about 5 different kinds of enemies which makes that almost twice as many bosses, and just feel much too spaced out as if it were to give the player time to cartwheel their way around if you get my point. From there it wasn't long that I started to feel a little disappointed with the game. It felt like it was going somewhere but then the program leader walked into office and said FUCK OFF to everyone except the level designer who was then put on minimum wage and so he copied and pasted the same thing over and over again to make levels and threw in just a few enemies every now and then.
So yeah this game overall plays mediocre, but feels somewhat unfinished, but maybe that's what they were going for. If you can get it cheap I might recommend it, and if you're into the whole 'cartwheel thing' then yeah go ahead and get it, but honestly what's the point - The internet has more than enough of that stuff and it's free... you sicko's =P
