Hello, Escapists.
I have a question relevant to Dragon Age, the Joining in fact.
This has been bothering me for quite some time. How is it that, post Origins story, every important plot character knew what the Joining was? At the start of Origins even the recruits didn't know about it! I was told through the hold story that the Joining was to be a secret so as no to discourage people from joining. As soon as I entered Awakening however, Varel somehow knows exactly how to make the formula despite his not even being a Warden. In addition, Oghren somehow knows what the process is prior to Joining. Did Alistair spill the beans or something? Did the Warden write a book and detail the Joining? I certainly didn't tell Oghren how my joining the Wardens came to be.
Does anyone have a proper explanation for this? Or is this just another loose end left open?
Or am I just thinking too much into it? I'm willing to bet I am, but even so.
