I'll watch it, and man am I ever grateful for more Mark Hamill Joker.

That said, I hated the Killing Joke: don't expect to enjoy outside of Hamill's Joker.

WB/DC, just stop with your Bat-addiction. You're weighing the Bat-camel down and you're approaching the Bat-straw that will break the Bat-Camel's Bat-back. Bat. DARKNESS!

REALLY IS IT CONFIRMED!?
Reportedly. [http://www.forbes.com/sites/benjaminmoore/2015/07/28/batman-killing-joke-animated-movie-mark-hamill/] Hamill has also said straight up that the only way he would voice the Joker again is for an animated adaption of The Killing Joke.

I never read The Killing Joke, but from what I've heard, it's some pretty dark and serious shit.

So I'm not really surprised that it would get an R rating.

R rating for killing joke seems a no brainer.

It's been a long time since I've read the comic but wtf is this about Barbara Gordon being sexually assaulted?
I vaguely remember both her and gordon being stripped naked at some points, but don't recall anything more then that.

Otherwise boo to this "dc films getting too dark" suggestion, no, I was actually quite pleasantly surprised by the violence of some of the more recent DC animated film and appreciated it because violence is messy and horrible, it shouldn't be portrayed as having no consequences or things you can just shake off after being unconscious for 5 mins.
I feel sanitizing violence is actually counter productive for all sorts of reasons and DC films are hardly aimed at a young kid demographic anyway so no reason we should be coddled.
Which is exactly I why prefer DC over Marvel and I hate it when people like Moviebob, Linkara, and others criticizes DC for being too "Dark"

That whole "Dark Age of Comics" thing and Moviebob bashing on the Death of Superman comics is something I was against.
I never really got the impression that he was banging on Death of Superman for it being /dark/, just because it was a stupid, convoluted superfluous mess of a story line.

Not as stupid as this:

It's from what is arguable considered to be the worst Superman comic of all time, Superman At Earth's End.

This better be a faithful adaptation... You don't want Tim Burton, himself, to not like it enough to want it on Blu-Ray, right?

Other than that, time to finally add this to stuff to look forward to in 2016...

Well no, but for me, that comic is so hammy and insane that it goes out the other side into so stupid it's enjoyable.

Well to me its so dumb its painful and cringeworthy and it is everything NOT Superman. I think when Moviebob was mentioning and dark and edgy comic books in the 90s was I think he was referring to this more then Death of Superman.

And they better get Kevin Conroy for this animated feature.

Reading The Killing Joke comic it had the look of the Batman Animated Series all the more reason to hire the big 2 actors.
