Great ninja strike. If nothing else, Go will survive the apocalypse. Chess and Checkers might too but it's a guarantee Go will live on.

Hmm...
Chess or Go for standard games.
For stuff that is more cerebral, Risus by a LONG shot. Easy, technically requires no tools or parts at but basic dice (which can be emulated / removed) and the rules can be memorized by a child in under an hour. Plus, easily expandable.

I was thinking that go might work, but I don't know, cause the pieces seem like a ***** to get that round.

but Go is definitely a candidate.

I guess checkers is easy to use with rocks or such

But hell, I'll take Apples to Apples over checkers any day.
I love that game
"The Apocalypse" is an auto-win card in this case then :p

Catan.

Risk is way to boring. And goes for to long. And there is very little skill. And its frustrating 'cause everyone gangs up on my 'cause i usually win since they make strategically stupid mistakes.

You don't really need round pieces. You just need a bunch of similarly sized pieces in two colours.

Jumunjie and zathura.
Something tells me that neither of these two games will survive another 20 years let alone after the apocalypse.
