It's amazing the Playstation brand has survived this generation.

I sometimes feel like the PS3 is going to be Sony's Dreamcast.
Uh... Why? The PS3 has been doing good this gen. Sure there has been some hiccups but not enough to kill the brand.
Enough to kill it for me. Sony gives it horrible firmware support (and I didn't think they could do worse than they did with the PSP) and doesn't seem to be interested in regulating the horrible support we've gotten from third party publishers: I'm hearing Skyrim might never work on the PS3.
And the ps3 is not doing good at all. In fact, if you combine the sales of both the 360 AND the PS3, it falls FAR short of PS2 sales when the PS2 was as old. And yet they pretend to assume that game sales have fallen because of used game sales (they obviously think we're complete morons) so they put stupid online pass on every Sony game.

Actually, the Dreamcast was in better shape.

Well, it seems like Team Ico is nearly done with the game, so I guess the Creative Director has done his job. Good luck to everyone.

The guy worked on the QuickTime Events in Shenmue (it's actually specifically listed under his credentials) and didn't actually have a role in creating either Ico or Shadow of the Colossus (he wasn't a Sony employee yet). I don't think they'll be missing him much.

His most impressive stuff appears to be with the Final Fantasy series, so he must be at least somewhat talented. Just not a crucial team member.
Quoting because people need to calm the heck down.
