Final Fantasy VII. There were pictures of it in the official Bradygames strategy guide.

I doubt anyone who has any interest in playing it would still not have played it, but I'll remain vague anyway since everyone knows what I'm talking about.
Stupid bradygames guide did the same thing to me (I was just thumbing from the monster index at the back to where I was at earlier in the game and I saw the sentence "Now that [spoiled major event has happened], go to..."

The most recent thing that was spoiled for me was The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya; friend spoiled the whole thing (just coming off of what I thought was a horribly bad season 2, so I had high hopes the series would recover and surprise me...so much for surprise).

Spoiled as in told the ending or twist? For me, the Andrew Ryan section of Bioshock. Just because they forgot I was playing it at the time.

Spoiled as in ruined because the fans just won't shut up about it? It's a tie between Portal and MLP:FIM. Both were entertaining, and both times the fandom made it so I just couldn't enjoy it as much as I used to before I came across them.

Well I just slightly spoiled some of the events of MGS: Peace Walker while reading some stuff about Ground Zeroes. I'm okay with it though because I don't know when I'll actually end up playing Peace Walker and I'd like to know what the hell is going on moving into Ground Zeroes.
I tried to play Peace Walker for this very reason, but I'm not getting into this game at all. And I love MGS.

I'd rather go into a game blind then have to play a game I don't enjoy in the slightest in order to catch up. Hell, I went into the first Metal Gear Solid blind and I stll loved it.

OT: I sorta, kinda had Cabin in the Woods spoiled for me, but then the movie reveals its premise within the first 30 seconds anyway.

Game of Thrones, I decided to pick up the books after watching the first season and I wasn't even halfway through the first book before a friend decided to spoil certain things in the next three books. He thought it was awesome that he knew what was going to happen, I wanted to wound him.

Death note. Somebody told me about something happening to a character that I was growing attached to. Knowing what would happen, I just didn't have the stomach to keep on watching it
I know exactly who you're talking about. I didn't have it spoiled for me, but the series itself became sort of stale after that point. The ending was kind of stupid, but also incredibly well-scripted and the english dub was beyond expectation o_O

Near is a Mary Sue detective who's like 9 years old and is completely omniscient. The conclusions he comes to and the traps he set up were beyond anybody's ability, even L's.
I was actually rooting for Kira.

OT:

Probably 358/2 Days.

I go on the Kingdom Hearts wiki and read maybe one paragraph of the page for Xion. It tells me right off the bat she's a replica and not a Nobody, and shows me that she tranforms into one of the final bosses.

God. Damnit.

The ending of Clannad Afterstory before I even started watching Clannad.
Oh god, the ending. I...

...Hated how it undid all of the sad moments, invalidating my tears. I swear the ending was worse than the orginal evangelion's ending.

Also, Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Because I watched an episode in the wrong order, the first major spoiler was revealed prematurely.

I actually spoiled the plot of MGS4 before I played the game so that I could fully enjoy it without the difficulties in following the story. Best 17 hours I've spent in a long time.

I can't think of much, except me spoiling the end of persona 3 for myself, then deciding to play it. The last major one was intentional. (Large Game of thrones spoiler ahead:)
Something major happens half way through the 3rd book... and I was genuinely shattered. I didn't want to keep reading, knowing that the same thing could happen again and I would be hurt as much. So I looked up the plot synopsis and made sure that I was okay with reading it.

Batman Arkham City. I spent the entire game hoping the person who told me what happened in the end was just a dick who wanted to piss people off.

Dead all along! Who would have guessed?.

But really, my dad told me all about Rollo Tomasi in LA Confidential. That pretty much ruins the entire thing.

A group of irritating supernerds (yes, the pimply novelty tee and ponytail comic store types) shouted out the ending of ME3 to everyone at my table and told us not to buy the game. This of course made me buy it. And I enjoyed it just to spite them.

Breaking bad and Lost are the two big ones for me. My friend spoiled lost for me (I started the show late) so I decided to spoil breaking bad for him. But a few days after that I had a later part of breaking bad spoiled for me, thats karma.

The Walking Dead, season 2. I work nights, and my shift starts just as the show ends. I didn't want to watch only 45 minutes before I left, so I would just watch the whole show in the morning when I got home. As I was heading out the door one night, my sister called out...
Sophia is in the barn!

True story.

I was travelling through Europe when the 6th Harry Potter book came out. I was in London and was flying out to Paris at stupid'o'clock in the morning, so I decided just to stay in the airport and picked up the book for something to read while I waited. That was also pretty much bang on when the London bombings happened (the first one happened just before I arrived in London, the second just after I left)

Due to the bombings the previous week, the airport with swarming with security officers. One particularly large guard comes up to me, wearing his bulletproof vest and armed with a submachinegun, and says:

The ending of the 50 Shades trilogy was spoiled for me in a way. I could't get through the first sex scene of the first book though so I don't know if that counts as the series having been spoiled for me honestly.

An event from the season finale of Game of Thrones got spoiled for me when I went looking on the game of thrones wiki looking at the Stark family tree for something completely unrelated. I guess that was my fault though.

As much as I'd like to take this as another opportunity to bring up my disagreement with Renegade Shepard again, technically the last thing was about Bones Season 7:
where Dr. Brennan has a daughter.

My brother's girlfriend offhandedly remarked on how the Companions are werewolves. I hadn't even started that quest line and I was REALLY pissed. My brother has told me to get over it, but 1. He's a prick and 2. The whole them-being-werewolves thing adds a WHOLE new spin on the closest thing Skyrim has to a fighters' guild. Seriously, I don't think I'll ever be able to play that quest line because I FUCKING. HATE. SPOILERS.

My friend spoiled Bioshock for me. He didn't quite know what he was talking about that much, but still managed to explain WYK.
