This is good news. I'm sick and tired of games trying to be too cinematic and deliver a Hollywood experience. When I want a Hollywood experience I watch a fuckin' movie.
See, there's a kind of problem to this. Fallout does it well, but I've had situations where I'm not paying attention, and not looking at where I'm supposed to be looking, and then I miss something. But I still like them. I can't wait to play this game.
And Brink. God, I hate Brink...but I love it...but I hate it more!
OT: I'm all up for this and stuff but they gotta know how to handle it. When I think of in-game cutscenes that interact with the gameplay, I think of something like what Half Life 2 had: Characters talking to me about important stuff but I'm too busy looking at the ceiling or going somewhere else checking for random items, then coming back a minute later after they've stopped talking to continue playing.
I mean, yeah, don't take the MGS4 route when it comes to cutscenes. But you know, don't take the HL2 route either.
