Fuam heard the cry and followed Eve's gaze with a light groan. "Here we go again." He said simply, Hunkering down lightly and rerieving a heavy branch from the path as he had nothing else to arm himself with.
"really, we just got done fighting the other thing now cavalry units? For the flames sake when do they stop!" Matridom proceeds to throw the axe head into The air and it floats there.
Variava attempted a roll to dodge the green ball of slime, but he was so distracted by throwing the random objects from his bag he didnt make it out in time. The poison splashed onto his boot, giving an immediate pain to the area, as he cringed. He pulled off his boot quickly, carefully trying not to get any on his hands. As the pain subsided, quickly he might add, it was replaced with a numbness, and he felt that he couldnt move his foot any longer, and couldn't feel his leg up to his knee. "Stupid snake!" He yelled out as tried to get himself to his feet, before falling over. He picked up a rock and chucked it at the snake, which his allies were now taking care of.
Great work, guys, now I'll proceed with the chimera-like creatures.
You are about to see read untold horrors!
Eve blinked a few times before she could make out what she saw.
That was indeed the sound of a horse. But what was making that sound was not a mere horse.
Charging at them were four of these things. Eve could spot the body of a man, a torso with arms and a head, the arms holding a polearm aimed at her. Attached to the body of a man was the body of a horse, the back of a horse and its four lags, moving at full speed.
Eve blinked again and saw something riding these half men, half horse creatures.
A person sitting on the horseback of the monsters holding a bow aimed at the group.
"They have archers!" Eve shouts at her comrades, "Get ready!" Eve said as she used her fresh wound to make a small barrier of blood thick enough to stop an arrow in flight. As Eve barely stood, she noticed the riders were too not human. Their legs were hairy and were shaped differently. Eve could only attribute these legs to the ones of a goat she had seen in her travels.
"More monsters" Eve shouted at her comrades.
Fuam growled and let out a yell, aiming the blast a little further ahead of the horse-man-men, hitting the side of the mountain and destabilizing the rock, hoping to take out a few of the attackers with the ensuing landslide.
Looks like the axe won't be enough to stop them. AWAKEN!" with a burst of light and wind Matridom was in her dragon form. The wind knocked a few of the archers off the Minotaurs and they were trampled under hoof. Taking the axe head from the air and threw it through one of the Minotaurs and archers.
Wow, wow, wow!
Stop! I didn't say they were auto hit!
You can't kill all of them single-handed.
We need to get into close quarters combat, GET INJURED ourselves a bit.
Edit your post, please.
Could the rest wait for mcpop9 to edit his/her/its post?
I'll be sleeping now.
Unless you want to do it all yourself with your overpowered super powers and mega kills that don't let the entire squad participate and completely ignore the point of the encounter you can carry on without me.
On the other hand you might actually do some good.
Decide it among yourselves.
<spoiler=OOC> I was on the assumption there about a hundred of these thing so good number would be 6 to 10 of them. an estimation would be nice the next time you send a hoard at us. [/spoiler]
Matridom used her wing to fend off the arrow attacks by the many archers shielding her eyes. " I can't make a move or I'll be blinded" she shouted to her fellow temmates.
The Enemy raied the metal in her body to the outside, creating a suit of armor that covered her torso, arms, and legs. She raised her arm just in time to block an arrow. She used some more metal to make a pair of long knives and assumed a defensive stance, waiting for the horsemen to get closer. She flipped the knife in her right hand into a reverse grip.
Garkar gritted his teeth as the new wave of monsters rode in towards the group. Back home he had faced very few creatures as strange as these, but here he had met many in a short time, and almost every one of them had gotten the better of him.
He saw an arrow fired right for him. Without even thinking he raised his cursed arm and the arrow skittered off the scales, deflected harmlessly. He stopped and looked at his arm for a moment, the blow hadn't hurt at all; in fact he hadn't felt a thing.
It was then that the sky seemed to open and rain began to fall. The water plastered Garkar's dirty red hair to his brow, and rushed over his skin. The rain felt refreshing, and it's coolness met with the hot fighting spirit inside.
While the others hung back defensively he let out a roar and began to run forward towards the attackers taking long loping strides to keep traction in the wet road.
I said WROTE that there were FOUR of them, meaning four centaurs with four Fauns mounting them. Check in my original post.
Eve managed to stop two arrows before she had to retract her shield to avoid fainting. The moment she did so, an arrow struck her shoulder. Eve could hear cries of war from the side of the fog.
Martidom used her wings to masterfully stop the arrows headed at her with ease. Faum tried to cause a rock collapse on the side of the mountain but managed only to cause a few of them to block a small portion of the road. The beasts continued unhindered.
Lorronix used her powers to wet the rocky ground, but due to the terrain only small patches of collected dirt became mud.
"We can't stop them" Eve shouted at her comrades. As eve broke the arrow she saw Garkar, the scaled man, charge into combat. "We can't leave him there" Eve shouted and began charging towards the creatures.
When Eve got into range she had already cut her ten finger tips, unleashing a devastating wave of blood pellets. to her amazement most of them missed, while others did hit but failed to make mush of a difference.
Garkar continued to rush the enemy oblivious to the others. As far as he was concerned the world narrowed to only include himself and the enemies before him.
Finally drawing near he took a moment to set his feet and ready his knife before leaping forward at the beast. It was probably half again taller then him, but he didn't care. He had to win, to defeat this foe and gain more power.
Adam stayed out of the fight thinking that the others could handle these creatures, when he heard someone mention the idea of running he walked up to the group and he became his werewolf form again, 'we do not need to run away, they may have strength but we have powers and cunning' Adam started running straight at one of these creatures while holding his spear, just before he would collide with the creature Adam jumped straight up and threw his spear directly at the creature which was now below him.
If I get anything wrong, correct me and I'll edit the post.
numa, I didn't understand your post. You said that you don't need to run, then you ran towards the centaur. Hm... Also, what did you do with its spear?
I'll just ignore it till you rephrase your post.
Eve stopped in her place, attempting to extend a blade longer than the spear the creatures held without losing too much blood. As she stood in place, he blade pointed upwards in an angle towards the approaching enemy, Garkar broke rank and threw himself at the best on the right side. Garker jumped at it with his knife, and even though he managed to bring down one of the stampeding beasts he was injured, the spear had cut through his left waist. The beast had crashed to the ground, unable to move. "Finish it" It cried out. The half man half goat stood up and held a short sword towards Garkar, waiting for his next move.
The three other half men half horse beasts, carrying the half man half goat creatures continued at the direction of Eve and the others.
Fuam let out a shout as one of the other horsemen drew near, aiming for the faun atop him while bracing with the branch in his hand, one end aimed at the centaur's throat as he prepared to try and get out of the way of that spear
As the horsemen drew nearer, The Enemy threw one of the knives, connecting it to her arm with a chain-like series of hooks from metal. The knife hit a horseman in the chest, and she retracted the hooks, sending the blade back to her hand.
Garkar heard nothing of what the downed beast said but still didn't hesitate. Carrying some of his whirling momentum he slammed his scaled arm down on the beast's head with sudden earth cracking force.
A second was all the blow took and he turned up to face the next creature, flecks of blood still on his face.
