I have a Lego Republic Gunship in my room. And a miniature lego clone and stormtrooper army to go with it.

I like it because you could make whatever you wanted out of it, as long as you had the imagination to create it. I remember always asking for kits of it for christmas as a result. I almost never made the ones they sold but I did try to come up with my own ideas, which I just found fun to do.

Also, I never had a favourite set, but if I had to pick one, I would go for the space explorer sets (Can't remember what they were called).

Spaceship [http://s653.photobucket.com/albums/uu260/siculus/?action=view&current=IMG_0098.jpg]

Monster [http://s653.photobucket.com/albums/uu260/siculus/?action=view&current=IMG_0099.jpg]

Both original designs, but the second is based loosely on the monster from Simcity 2000. Also both are missing some pieces because I had tried to put some stuff back together a while back. I did leave the monster have some exposed pips around the edge though (are they pips? or nubs? what are those called?) because I don't have a lot of the flat smooth pieces and I needed to let the leg joints swing back and forth.

Probably my favorite back in the day was Spyrius of the basic Lego sets, but I really dug Technic. My favorite is still the submarine: http://www.3dexport.com/img13556.search.htm

My immigrant parents were too poor to afford those fancy box sets. All I got was the thick ones and I would spend all day making fake guns like

Minus the trigger and the scope and the hole in the front

Still, they kicked ass

Inspired by a thread about people's favorite toys yesterday. I thought it would be fun to discuss about the greatness of Legos.

Why do you like it? What is your favorite brand? What else should become lego? Whats your best Lego creation?

I want to hear what you think. So let the discussion commence.
It's not Legos, it's Lego. The plral is the same as the singular.

It's like you were there when I built it on 72 separate and distinct occasions.

Actually when referring to the plural it's neither. Lego is the brand name. The plural would be Lego bricks. But nobody cares.
