Well, it's official. I've become the type of guy who reads at least four webcomics. I'm sure this is listed as a psychological disease in some medical text somewhere, but I don't feel any more or less insane than I already was. I'm actually searching for more good ones as we type, but StumbleUpon is oddly recalcitrant on this subject. And Google just throws up a whole bunch that I find to be immature or badly written or both. So I would like to know what, if any, webcomics you read/check for updates on a semi-regular basis. If you don't read any, I strongly suggest you check out some of the ones I have linked below, if only for your edification. Also, if you see a webcomic that you haven't read on this thread, check it out. Avoid flaming, and possibly write a short review, if you feel so inclined.

My list:
<url=www.megatokyo.com>Megatokyo is a very interesting project by Fred Gallagher, AKA Piro. I'm currently on my second read-through of the comic and intend to continue to re-read it periodically as it has the most interesting plot development I have ever seen.
<url=www.lfgcomic.com>Looking for Group is quite possibly the funniest comic I have ever read. It follows the adventures of a group of adventurers as they travel about their world. Everybody's favorite character is Richard, and you will understand why when you read it. In fact, you should be reading it right now. Why are you still reading this? Go! Now!
<url=www.brathalla.com>Brat-Halla is a comic based on Norse Mythology as it would be if the children of Odin and Frigg were still children. Amusing and thought-provoking, It also tells quite a bit of real Norse mythology and goes a long way to explaining the convoluted family relationships that the gods had.
<url=www.brawlinthefamily>Brawl in the Family is the first comic I read online. It's pretty funny and well written, with a quirky art style and a premise that pwnz: it's the day-to-day life of the characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I personally like F@NBOY$ (http://fanboys-online.com/index.php?comic=324)
and Rob and Elliot (http://www.robandelliot.cycomics.com/index.php) just because they are quite ridiculous.

Least I Could Do (LICD http://www.leasticoulddo.com/#)
A comic about a sexist nymphomaniac. It's pretty comedic most of the time. Expect randomness.

Misfile (http://www.misfile.com/?page=1226)
A comic about a guy and a girl whose lives were completely turned about by a cosmic misfile on an Angel's part. It leads to the guy becoming a girl and the two (girl and guy) having to repeat several years of their lives.

8-Bit Theater (http://www.nuklearpower.com/8-bit-theater/)
I think this one's self explanatory. ;D

The Pride of Life (http://chikara-z.xepher.net/pol/index.html)
I suppose you could say it's a furry comic. It's hard for me to explain what it's about as I've only recently started reading it and there aren't too many pages out yet. (Meaning it's only been out for a year or so I think.)

XKCD (http://www.xkcd.com/566/)
Math and general humor. It's usually fairly random and is a nice read. Even if you don't get the physics jokes.

GU Comics (http://www.gucomics.com/comic/?cdate=20090407)
A gaming comic. It's usually commentary about gaming news or the silliness that occurs in games like WoW and Everquest. Usually WoW. You'll often find jokes about the stupidity of game developers.

Really I read about 15 of these things but I don't really feel like posting them all and giving descriptions.

I read Penny Arcade and xkcd regularly.
I've read a lot of others, but these are the only two I always come back to.

Replace the dark humor with indie music and sci-fi references and somewhat better art (eventually.) Around comic 500, it starts being more about relationships rather than obscure music or Dune references, but whatever.

THESE

Also, a softer world [http://www.asofterworld.com/] and Pictures for Sad Children [http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com/] are two of my favorites. They have a dry, understated humour that will be sad, funny, bittersweet or beautiful depending on the day. Worth a read, in my opinion.

And I am astounded that Overcompensating [http://www.overcompensating.com/] hasn't been mentioned yet.

In your opinion. And Megatokyo being a bad webcomic, that may be so, but it is a good manga (not sure whether to classify it as shoujo or shonen, the relationship bits are very shoujo, but Largo, Ed, and Dom especially blow shit up enough for it to be a shonen. Whatever.) and I like that Fred completely immerses you in the subjective reality that is Tokyo (Piro only sees good stuff, Largo thinks in 1337 (funny thing I just noticed: 1+3+3=7. Coincidence?) and sees the world as out to get him, but both realities are true in a way.). I'm sure that confuses a lot of people, but I like it. Also the story focus instead of forcing a joke at the end of each strip, instead the humor evolves naturally from the storyline. That's why I like Megatokyo. Now a new rule is implemented: do not disparage other people's choices, even in passing, because this is what might happen.

*cough*Related to John Campbell*cough*

What's even whackier is that once you get to know at least three popular webcomic artists personally, you somehow become sucked into their world. Case in point - I know Mike Krahulik from way back when, and I know Greg Dean from - well, the same way back when. Those two alone helped me meet everyone else, including Amber from Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures [http://www.missmab.com/]. When I was stationed in Texas, Rodney Caston played tabletop games at the same store in the area I was stationed at, and he introduced me to his upcoming comic partner, Fred Gallagher. Through Fred, he introduced me to a bunch of other artists and we even hung out at MegaCon in 2004.

Which is freaking weird when you think about it. I wish I knew the dude from XKCD, and the guy who writes Least I Could Do. Then I'd have met everyone whose comics I read face to face. It would be like finally catching all the Pokemon.

These. Also, the various Sharing Machine comics - Toothpaste For Dinner, Natalie Dee, etc. Perry Bible Fellowship is amusing enough but it has limited mileage since it's only an archive now.

Oh, yeah, anything by K.C. Green [http://rumblo.com/]. He's great. Bee Power [http://comicswithoutviolence.com/] would probably be my favourite - it's over now, but the archive is well worth reading.

I never found any of the gaming-related webcomics remotely entertaining, I just don't get the jokes. Maybe you have to read them from the start, or something.
