The Locust - "Teenage Mustache"

The Locust says "Fuck lyrics."

Another similar band I am a huge fan of and have been for sometime.

War From A Harlot's Mouth

:50 - End is probably the coolest shit ever.

This seems to be most easily classifiable as grindXcore. I don't know how known this genre is outside of the New England scene, but for us this kind of music has been around for years. It's a blight on humanity, with the exception of the several bands enlightened enough to make it a self parody.

There are grindcore bands from pretty much everywhere. One of my favorites is from Louisiana.

iwrestledabearonce.

Check 'em out. They have a hot female vocalist/singer.

AMAZING band, my 3rd most listened to acording to Last.FM!

They're all brilliant musicians and I think to describe them as "45 second blasts of noise" is unfair, a lot of thought and skill goes into it.

Also I'm gay for Gabe Serbian.

If you're being sarcastic, then thats hilarious and high five.

If you aren't, Then I have to say: I don't see how beating on drums for 3 second increments while my bandmates scream incomprehensible lyrics into a mic to be artistic and thought-out.
But again, maybe I'm missing the point.
But to each their own.
I'm not being sarcastic at all, I genuinely love these guys. The lyrics may be incomprehensible but if you acctualy read them they're quite interesting. And as for the drumming did you watch past 12 seconds? It gets better.

I don't think you're missing the point, I just think it's not the sort of thing that most people would enjoy because it's so darn noisy.

I like 'em. A lot. I'm not gonna bother trying to argue in their defence because clearly it's not going to change anyone's opinion, but it does really irritate me when people feel the need to declare something as being 'just noise'. Well, yes, everything you hear is 'just noise', from the sound of your doorbell to the sweetest soul singer, via this sort of thing and the buzzing of your fridge.

Anyone who likes this sort of thing should hit up the various other bands that these guys are in. I just hauled out the Some Girls album over the weekend... 'tis necessary.

Eh, it's just not my favorite scream-o/hardcore band.
But thanks, I will check out the lyrics.

Utter shit.

Any idiots with a couple of guitars and a drum-kit can make that kind of noise.

But mind you, I say that about every death metal band.

And you are very very wrong! These guys are all very technicaly skilled musicians. Also they're not death metal.

Some critics say they are the worst thing to ever happen to music
HAHA, yea right, ever heard of the band "Brokencyde"?
I... Think... I prefer Brokencyde to these guys.

Of course, I'm not going to go find a Brokencyde song on Youtube to compare, but I remember understanding the lyrics.

Also, what the fuck is Mathcore?

Checking them out on Spotify right now, they sound like complete garbage to be totally honest.
Also, only one album of theirs seems to have 45 second songs on there, most are over the 4 minute mark.

When People Become Numbers are the only good mathcore band.

Sikth, Protest the Hero, Dillinger Escape Plan, The Human Abstract.

If you really want extreme noise, splittercore is your best bet :p
Yesssssssssssssssssssss!

Splittercore is pretty much the harshest music there is, and far more enjoyable than any form of noise music too. Th

Say what you will about The Locust, but you leave Death Metal out of this.

I kind of liked it. I would not call it "genius" or something that would "challenge how we see music today with innovative and original songwriting" but I like it.

sorry, I like music to be music.
Just because it's different doesn't make it interesting.

I'm sorry for being off topic, but did you edit your avatar? and if you did not, where can i find it, something about it made me laugh til i was crying.

On topic though, I cannot listen to them more than is neccesary, but i felt that way about Flogging Molly at first, and i've listened to their stuff almost religiously for three years straight.
