I've been with my bf Conor for 2 and a half years now, and still going strong. But I love all my friends and family too, basically all the people who make my life special :)

Yeah I know it's cheesy but still.
Love is always a bit cheesey.

dude, i can't help but wonder... you like a person that lives in Norway even though you live in England? (yes i am a stalker) have you guys even met?
Nope, that a problem?
D: but how do you know it is love?
I don't know it is. I think it is. I'm sure it will become clear when I go over there.
sounds freaken complicated.
Do explain... What's complicated about it?
like, are you guys "going out" now? like, talking over pm or something? because if not it would not make much sense to go over to norway.
We talk and use webcams. I guess we're "girlfriend" and "boyfriend" but why does meeting each other face to face matter all that much?
ok, that makes more sense.

anyway, i'm sure you know what you are doing. how can someone with an avatar about such a awesome topic could ever be wrong about shit?
Absolutely. Unless this turns out like Lelouch and Kallen... Anyway...

Well my girlfriend is awesome. I'm not sure we've been in the relationship long enough for me to say with certainty that I love her, but she is really special to me. One of the coolest things about her is that we both have a love for storytelling of all kinds; however, her specialty is in classic literature, whereas mine is in film and video games. I am introducing her to video games and catching her up on important movies she's missed, while she's giving me plenty of books to read, both old and new. It's an awesome situation, really: a common interest in which we can still learn from each other.

She also loves argumentation and debate, which, considering my last relationship ended because my girlfriend thought debates were inherently and always bad, rude, and hurtful (yeah, she was incredibly complacent intellectually), is an awesome thing.

Also, introducing someone to video games basically from scratch is fantastic. Really awesome. :D

I would consider myself asexual, so I never got the whole "love" thing. I mean, why would you throw your entire life away for a chemical imbalance that is only there to ensure the perpetuation of a species that should really be lowering its overall population?
Just because you are able to break something down to its most basic scientific principles doesn't change the fact that the feeling itself is a beautiful thing.

I love my boyfriend! He's everything I could ever want in a man: loving, patient, generous, funny, understanding, and supportive. Oh, and just nerdy enough to be able to put up with my rants about games, comics and such. We've been together for three years, and I'm sure there will be many, many more to come.

I also love this place because it's inhabited by sane, intelligent fans who are content to live in a world without obnoxious fanboyism or misogyny. Yay Escapist!

well, the scenes at the school were funny and light hearted (my favorite parts of the show) i thought stuff you just get better... well, they are talking about making a alternate story line (i think) stemming off from the end of the first season...

i hope they don't fuck it up, because thats the most likely scenario
Yup, they definitely will.

I liked the strategic battles the most.

While i did have a girlfriend once it was only for a week... and being a teenager i questioned whether or not i could actually "love" her or not... as for someone i do know i love is my Friend Z while he is a guy he is also my brother and unlike his other friend, im not a third leg when he and his girlfriend are together. (its what he tells me when i ask him) and my Mom and sister, while my sister is in a way bi-polar and over exaggerate i can still stand her and my Mom is just a good role model, as for my dad im just going through a phase right now of hatred annoyance but i still love him deep down.

As for love interest at school... i think this one girl likes me but the signals are confusing, and then theres... HER.... shes a lesbian...sigh, actually shes bi but im positive she just thinks of me as a friend.

I'd like to express my love for my good friend Johnny... Walker. Johnny has always been there for me ever since I met him when I was 15, he's always there to lend a hand to make me feel betetr about anything that's gone wrong and to celebrate the good times with me.

That's your own feeling. I'm not saying that nobody should ever fall in love, but just that I am not going to because of the loss of rationality that comes from being in love. And please don't say "you just haven't found the right girl yet". I have OCD, and the thought of being... intimate with another person grosses me out to no end. And, like I was saying earlier, population control is a very serious issue. I'm going to do my part by never being in a relationship. I'm not trying to influence anybody elses decisions. All I'm doing is putting my opinion into the conversation.
And it's nice to see an opinion which differs from the majority - that always keeps things interesting. To be honest, the main purpose of my input was to dismiss this notion that explaining something in a scientific manner somehow reduces its value. I've seen it many times before on this website, and it has always bothered me.

Don't worry, I'm not going to pipe in with the "you're too naive, you don't truly understand love" speech - it's far too tedious, and nobody wants to hear that. I've met quite a few people such as yourself (on the internet and in real life), and I respect that decision. You're certainly right that the global population has far surpassed what it should be if we ever hope to sustain our environment..... personally, I cringe whenever I see a family which has 4 or 5 children. In this day and age, such a thing just seems irresponsible. Sure, two people can be in love, but need they express their love by popping out a new child every year?

I am surrounded by wonderful girls, and I am a spineless coward who cannot work up the courage to ask any of them out. Damn it. I still love them anyway; they're great people.

Never had a girlfriend. I'm working on it, but I don't know where to start.
I'm getting there though. Just had my first kiss couple of days ago. ^^

Why no, I will not tell you how old I am.

EDIT: Holy crap I just saw what the thread actually was about! o_0
Disregard that first part. I love rainbows and puppies and sycamore trees, maple syrup and kittens and honey from bees. I like the sound of waves on the shore, these are the things I adore.

Well, GF left me. So I guess I take your advice and proclaim my love for pies. Something with fruit only though. Yes sweet stuff, nyomnyom.

My self esteem is too low and I'm too much of a cynical withdrawn social reject to have friends or recognize love so I have very little to contribute other than my thoughts...

I have persistently and systematically alienated and isolated myself from everyone with whom I've had even the slightest social contact, so no, I don't have any idea what the original poster is claiming. The closest is probably my parents, but one is fairly indifferent and the other also hates everything about me, so probably not.

I love everyone.

Especially these guys and girls [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/chat/The-Escapist-TARDIS-crew?added=1#].

But as for a girlfriend, I am alone.
Aww aren't you sweet Timelord, softens the blow of not being able to go to TARDIS crew in Cardiff this year.

As for me, I guess my friends and my family. But I am alone too when it comes to a girlfriend, real shame too being the hopeless romantic I am.

I've been with my boyfriend John for a year and four months now and i love him very much. He is the cheese to my macaroni, the j to my pb and i wouldn't have it any other way. I mean after all i am dating my best friend. Times are tough sometimes cause we are long distance while not at college but we manage until we see each other again.

I would also like to say to those who haven't experienced love, don't get bent out of shape, your day will comes. And i also agree that love has lost its meaning because we use it far too much to describe things in everyday life, but its the word that has declined not the feeling, the feeling is still the most powerful thing in the world. Love can make you feel like you could fly one minute and the nest it could make you feel like your dying a slow and painful death. But overall, not matter what, the feeling of true love is whats worth getting up everyday and going through another boring nine hours of work that you hate... to just see that one someone and hold them in your arms is like heaven.

I love music, video games, food, fapping, and my family and friends. :D

But if its romantic love, I have none, which is fine with me.

Everyone I love knows who they are. I constantly remind them of the fact :)
