People have spent the last month constantly complaining about Mass Effect 3 and how the ending is the worst thing ever. A story about the destruction of earth and a war for survival not being happy enough for you? I?m sorry. The writers and creators of the universe that we all know and love. The characters are well developed and seem more human than some people we know in real life. they universe seems entirely plausible and even real. All these things make you want to fight the fictional invasion at the end.

I haven?t played 3 yet due to my PS3 being on the fritz. I know it?s not going to end the way I want it to end. But you know what? that?s the closest to reality that any creator is going to get. We all want to save the universe and make sure our entire crew is alive to celebrate at the end. That?s not going to happen. I haven?t played yet and I have even accepted that fact? Let me say that again. You are complaining to a group of people about what THEY did with THEIR story. IT doesn?t belong to you.

This is even worse because Bioware is addressing the problem by creating specific DLC to please these freaking complainers. You have got to be kidding. All that is going to teach people is that if you don?t like something all you have to do is complain enough and the person who owns it will change it for you. Just please accept it. I'm tired of hearing about it. If anyone has a comment go ahead, but no spoilers. Not just for me but for anyone else who may read this.

The main reason people hate the ending could be considered a massive spoiler. It is one however, that you need to know if you haven't purchased ME3 yet.

I'm not giving away how it ends here. Just a particular fact about the ending.

I'm not sure how much you care. I'm not sure how much of a spoiler you would consider this knowledge. It has to do with one of the selling points of the series, actually.

It sounds like you may have even seen the leaked ending, but I'll spoiler tag it anyway.

Nothing you did in ME1, ME2, or even the previous however-many hours of ME3 you just played matters in the end. Nothing at all. THE ENDING'S THE SAME!

People need to stop thinking this will lead to every game getting new endings. Do you realize how hard it is to get a large portion of the internet to agree on anything? Backlash to this degree is rare at best. A company has to do something stunningly stupid to get this many people pissed off.

Furthermore, consumers have every right to complain about it. Nobody is forcing Bioware to change or improve the ending. Nobody has a gun to Casey Hudson's head. The fact of the matter is, if Bioware does end up changing it, it will be because they realize "Hey, maybe we did fuck up a little bit here..."

I thought the endings were fine actually. Not great, they did leave a few lose ends open, but fine. People are just being childish.

If you're tired of hearing about something, then maybe you could try not listening? It may be cliched, but nobody is making you read every forum post/article/blog about why people have expressed displeasure over the endings to ME3. Why not just leave well enough alone, like

the godchild should just leave the Mass Relays alone

in the ME3 ending.

Plus, as disheartening as this is bound to be for the folks at Bioware, I also think they should at least take it as a possible upside that people are actually caring enough to get this worked up (I still think the FTC complaint is taking things way too far, mind) about the series. It's good that Bioware is at least considering doing something to appease their fans (or customers, if you will) by considering coming up with something new to conclude the game. Sure they could just tell us all to swivel, but it is to their credit that they aren't, I find.

Oh, and if you don't like something you're solution is to just just "accept it"? Way to go defeatist attitude! Why bother even trying then?
