Never had a McRib and gonna keep it that way. There's nothing remotely "rib" about ground beef shaped into a caricature of ribs and doused in barbecue sauce. You might as well just order a regular patty and a couple of their barbecue dipping sauces and slather that on it; it's probably the same thing, and you can get that year-round. I don't know why the masses insist on flooding to this food like it's the next coming of Christ, and anything that rallies the morbidly obese masses can't be good (well, can't be good FOR you.)

The people always rally on something that is a limited time only so they can say they had the experience of it. No matter how bad the food or product really is.

Ba Da Ba Baaa Baaaaaaa!!!

It was a'ight. I wouldn't go out of my way to go get one but if I was looking for some Fast Food and McDonalds was the choice for said Fast Food, I would consider getting the McRib again. Assuming I wasn't in the mood for a Big Mac or something...

Overall, it's a McDonalds fast food item in fake rib form. That is really the perfect description of it and I'm guessing you know exactly what that tastes like :D

6.5 out of 10 Tippys; would Tippy again if it was in front of me

The karmic gods had other plans; my girlfriend came home from a doctor's appointment with "surprise" McRibs. Neither of us had tried it, and she thought it'd be "fun" to try...

It was not. It was not fun. Pork mush absolutely DRENCHED in barbecue sauce; it was fucking soaking through the cardboard container and onto the bag, for fuck's sake! Best part were the pickles and onions which attained sentience for the soul purpose of pleading for the sweet release of death, away from the saucy torture they'd been condemned to. I ate about half before tapping out. My stomach, fingers, teeth and soul all hurt. Never again. Damn you, McDonalds; send that sandwich back to hell from wence it came!

Australia
I’d kind of like this to get released in Australia because I’ve seen more than a few YouTubes with people doing taste comparisons between OG Maccas and Aussie Maccas that indicate there’s a substantial difference in the taste if only due to the way the beef is fed and sourced. So I’m wondering if the pork would be similar.

EDIT: So, turns out the McRib IS available in Australia. I think this is one of the few foods that probably the same across the board: I mean, it tasted fine but they really drown it in BBQ sauce. I mean the idea is solid: pulled pork, bbq sauce, pickles and onions and cheese. But dial back the sauce and use better pork.
