I like em, they are a cool bunch. They have nifty ban mops (actually I think Wilson may have a ban vacuum cleaner but that is still up for debate) and are always pretty helpful.

I'm the only one with a banmop per se, I also have a bansword for the fun bits. Ultrajoe has his Dominator, Wilson a sausage-on-a-stick, Nilcypher his Banhammer and Earl Gray uses the Tea Punch. It's super effective!

LaCoil's still got me terribly confused about what gender UltraJoe is, though. ;-;

The Ultrajoe transcends gender.

If you see a punishment disproportionate to the crime then chances are the person has a history of infractions and not getting the hint when we point it out in nice, simple terms. Straw that broke the camel's back, if you will.

Getting to know the mods personally isn't as hard as people think. We're usually in the IRC [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/chat] and our PM boxes are always open.

Getting to know them personally makes a huge difference to one's outlook. From my perspective certain bans make a lot more sense, as do locks. You learn to see a given thread from viewpoints other than your own, in which while you are perfectly fine with the content someone else isn't, hence they reported it.

Anyway. They're fun, except for that Labyrinth woman. She's just strange. Very intelligent the lot of them. Surprisingly patient.
