If you can't guess what you are supposed to do in this thread you probably need help dressing yourself, but if you don't know let me explain. Write or rewrite a monster's origin story, It can come from anywhere. So to start us off, I give you King Ghidorah of Godzilla fame:
In the early Godzilla films King Ghidorah just seems to have always been around which I can't accept. So my origin story is from that time but takes cues from the first Gamera film of the 90s.

Millions of years ago, two extraterrestrial races are engaged in a bloody war that has been going for years with no signs of stopping anytime soon. The more scientifically advanced of the two (who I will name the Creators) decides the best way to end the war is to create a bio-weapon. Rather than making a disease that only affects the opposing force, they create King Ghidorah to stop the enemy out of existence. King Ghidorah's first launch goes reasonably well but, as Yahtzee said in his FEAR 2 review projects like this are flawed because of free will. Unfortunately King Ghidorah's free will tells him that everything in the universe is below him and when the Creators try to reclaim him he promptly turns on them. The Creators, however had a plan for if this happened: a lethal gene. It was supposed to destroy Ghidorah's genetic code, causing him to fall apart into a puddle of proteins and amino acids. It was a shame then that they didn't think to make sure it worked the way it was supposed to, as instead King Ghidorah dies and starts to decompose. By the time the Creators found out that the lethal gene allowed King Ghidorah to clone himself as smaller Dorats each capable of becoming another King Ghidorah , it was too late. The war ended with both races being wiped out. Now whenever a King Ghidorah dies of natural causes it decomposes and the pieces spread throughout the universe that are reanimated into Dorats upon contact with an atmosphere.
I have a great origin story for the war between Autobots and Decepticons, but seeing as how those aren't monsters, it doesn't count :(
Robots can be considered monsters. Sometimes, the most insidious.

In the wake of a war on a mining colony planet, a machine was developed by the defending army known as the Autonomous Sword, or the Screamer after the noise it made. It was initially just suppose to be a simple burrowing machine with a saw-blade and self-guiding systems to propel it at targets at will. The only way to keep a Screamer from homing in on you was to use a Tab, a device which offsets the human heartbeat to fool the thing into believing you are dead.

Vast underground facilities were designed for this killing machine to produce more of its own kind, out of the hands of anyone capable of shutting them down in order to ensure that the encrouching enemy could never take the mining colony. Unfortunately, the Sword which strikes without the hand no longer needs the guiding hand, and so it thinks for itself. The programming was updated to create better killing techniques and attack vectors for all enemies and recorded threats. After this, the programming and bodies of Screamers were more and more adapted with the same killer programming, the inclination to kill without compunction.

They grew too complex and were out of control, starting to develop versions of themselves capable of out-thinking human beings. The official version two of the Screamer is a wounded soldier who just keeps screaming for help until someone gets close enough. Version three was in the form of a child, one lost child who tags an unsuspecting soldier to lead you into your base...then proceeded to kill all inside. After this, the Screamers were already at human-level intellect, and their development and capability to mimic human behavior and bodily functions became too precise.

Did I mention they find their way to Earth?

As I asked Fallout Jack: How do you do "tags"?
Well, tags are just the commands, which go in square brackets around some text. So anything between
and
would be displayed as a quote. Same goes for spoilers, so if you write
This is spoilered text
you will get

This is spoilered text

That's it, basically. You can check this thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.198114-Escapist-User-Guide-to-Posting-Commands] for more commands and a better look at things. You can also quote a comment and you'll see what tags they've used. So, for example, if I write something in bold or italics and you want to see how I did it, just click quote on my comment and see it.
