The Most Awesome Nickname

me and a friend both recently started a new game on pokemon fire red, the catch being that we'd both catch each others pokemon and trade them over. now in the spirit of maturity i gave his first two pokemon (a bulbasaur and mankey) cool nicknames (lilly and axle), however when i saw the nicknames hed given my pokemon (catterpie- "beedrill" mankey- "pr1m3ap3") it turned into a war of the nicknames, heres how it currently stands

me
ivysaur - lilly
mankey - pr1m3ap3
butterfree - beedrill
nidorino - dragqueen T~T

charmelon - a pokemon
mankey - axle
beedrill - butterfree (tit for tat)
jigglypuff - pufflyjig (im rather proud of that one)

needless to say, theres an omanyte called twatcakes coming his way (thank you yahtzee)

I think the fact that you can name your rival is one of the best features, i won't actually post names i've used for him but it's usually quite amusing.

My friend named his Cyndaquil "Killer" though. I thought that was all full of win.

OT: I always name my Gyarados DAGRON and a bird pokemon of some kind ORLY?! and a caterpie Cecil.

That's as creative as I get though.

yeah, i named him "oddish" which is always funny. "oddish wants to battle!" "oddish sent out charmeleon!" it seems the pokemon are sophisticating to the point of actually training EACH OTHER! lol!

I have made it my business to name every Pokemon I catch.
Gave my actual party cool nicknames, and everything else just something silly.

The one that stands out most prominently in my memory right now would have to be my Tentacruel, which I nicknamed HentaiHero.
I am not entirely sure if I should be proud or ashamed or what.

LOL! tentacle rape!! my tentacruels nickname was yookan (japanese bean jelly) RIP yookan, the file got wiped after the elite 4 (it was a bootleg emerald)

A reference to the Volkswagen Beetle car model. He used to be called BluPnchBgy.

I called my kadabra Mindfuck, my Magneton Magnum and My Ferraligatr Leviathan ( reference to Leviathan the seamonster in Mythology, which also happens to be my nickname)


If I recall correctly, my Aggron in Emerald was called Panzer, due to the fact that it had a high defense/attack.


I rarely rename my pokemanz though :/

The only name that i can remember making me just laugh out loud was, "You Can Not UnToast!!". But this was online and not something i'd use.

I have more fun with Red and Blue's names. Like I name Red something like Dude, or Laddy. So people are like, "Dude, your Pokemon journey is about to begin.", and other random stuff the whole game. Or with Laddy, they sound like they are talking to a dog or have an accent. And I just name Blue stuff like Stinko or some other immature name.
