If step-parents count, my step-mom told me that she would sleep with me if she hadn't married my dad (and I'm female, by the way). I haven't had an awkward moment with my biological parents that can come close to topping that.

Wow, that really is awkward... and creepy.

OT: Probably when my mum informed me during a discuss about relationships that my dad was the only man she has ever had sex with and she had only done it when she had decided she wanted to marry him... her point was against casual sex I think but that was more than I ever wanted to know!

One of her friends has a sister thats a bit of a .... nice word for slut .... can't think of one. She's a bit "loose" to be polite. So my daughters friend had overheard a conversation and heard that question and then asked her friends.

Our daughter didn't know what to make of it so she asked my wife.

She had no clue what it meant, the shock value was just the bluntness of the question and us not having the slightest clue what to say.

Me and my best friend sleep on my massive king-sized bed when he spends the night. Now I won't deny that some slightly suggestive (not hardcore) things haven't gone on but this conversation came up with my mom (Keep in mind she thinks the LGBT community is the devil incarnate). As I posted in the duplicate thread, coming out is the most awkward thing I've done with both of my parents.

More recently, I asked my mother if she was getting all her aging lady parts taken care of, mammograms and what have you because she can be a bit harebrained. In this I mentioned that I go to a Planned Parenthood in a nearby town. As a gay man, it should be pretty obvious why I go there. (Hint: It's not for a NuvaRing refill)

Up to this point it wasn't too awkward, but then she kept trying to pry details out of me and asked the stupid obvious and passive-aggressive questions like "Why do you go to Planned Parenthood?" and "So you're sexually active, then?"

Seriously, I dont find much that akward. If I am one way around a gangster pothead, I should still be the same person if I am around a priest or my parents. It's called being yourself. I've never found sex scenes that akward... my parents have, but I havent.

Several nights ago, I walked in on my parents having sex. I only went to ask if I could have the last beer. (I'd assumed my dad was asleep on the sofa, because the TV was still on.) I made a hasty retreat, and didn't talk to them for the next 48 hours. Which is a shame, because after that, I really needed a beer.

Well mine was actually two times that were connected the first was a few years back when my parents caught me having sex with my boyfriend of the time. The second was about a week or so later when they caught me making out with my current girlfriend (my boyfriend having been dumped not long after my parents caught us because he was cheating). What followed after my girlfriend made her excuses to leave was possibly the worse conversation I have ever had.

Planned Parenthood is a sexual health clinic in the U.S. They do things like mammograms, Pap smears, prostate checks, abortions, prescribing contraception, as well as STD testing. It's actually cheaper for me to go to Planned Parenthood and not use my health insurance to get tested.

I also got a truly facepalm worthy spiel from my mother around the time of my first date about how guys are predators out to get me. ~_~

Ah, stuff like that is generally through the health service here in the UK, although I'm unlikely to ever see anything like that in my current local area due to my doctor being a completely brainless bimbo. >.>

I've only had one girlfriend so far, and I managed to keep that secret from my mother. So I've yet to get any form of rants.
