$180 for Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Sega Saturn. Was it a stupid decision? Yes, do I regret it? Hell no.

Spore: Galactic Edition - $90 Canadian.

I'm glad I actually liked the game unlike a lot of others. :\

Probably Gun for the xbox 360. This was during the early days of the 360 where new releases were £50 rather than the £40 that they are today.

Well i never buy the games when theyre expensive and never buy them in the release date...

But the most expensive game i bought was back in the ps2 days.

I still remember it "Jak3" for the playstation 2. I loved the fact you could use Light and darkness powers, and fell in love by the Steampunkish look of the game. In those days off course i was only a kid and my city didnt have any gaming store. So i ran from my city to the next one in hopes of finding the game, and ran back before my parents arrived. When my parents asked me where i bought that game i would say it was a demo that came with a magazine (i still have that demo has well xD).

Costed me 35? the equivalent to 49Dollars i think. i got home all sweaty from the running, almost got mugged and had to go trough a kinda dangerous path. For a game xD ... well what can i say i was a kid back then...

The second game was Pokemon Yellow, back when i was a brat... the last game my parents ever bought me (they bought me pokemon blue years before has well). Costed them 25?... it was a week after the release date has well... i think thats 35Dollars...

The third "most expensive" game would be Orange Box 20? = 25Dollars i think... tottaly worth it....

*edit*
I forgot about the Guild Wars game... 40Euros = 56 Dollars for Prophecies and Eye of the North. THAT was my most expensive game... also worth it. A friend recommended prophecies to me along time ago so i ended buying the prophecies+EoTN pack. That game made me love the GW universe and Lore and made me buy Factions and Nightfall in the following years. Still have them to this day and love them.

The whole deal is rounded to 85Euros = 120Dollars... not a bad deal if i may say so... xD

How about we do this backwards, kay? Forget the name of the game, but I remember it has this absolutly massive controller and is about mechs. Was retailing used at Gamestop for around $200.00 and I got it for $17.00 at a garage sale, controller included.
Steel Battalion, I think. It was this controller, right?

ditto, still have the controler and game, difficulty curve was too steep though

Halo: Reach Legendary edition, at $150 USD.
I got that too, I think that it was worth it for all the extras...

But I am a Halo fanboy myself, so I may be a touch bias...
Me too. Though I feel like an idiot now that it is 60 USD at gamestop.

Alan Wake: Collectors Edition.
Was around $100 from what I recall. Has some good stuff in it, and I really liked the game. I should get around to that DLC...

Last Window: The Secret of Cape West. Something like $46 I think, which doesn't sound like much but keep in mind it was a used DS game I'm talking about, I had to import it from England.

I preordered it at EB Games. Probably should have shopped around a bit, really.

Title says it all, people. What's the most you ever paid for a game? Mine would be Super Smash Brothers Melee, for $69.99, but I'm sure some people on here have paid more for games. Spill it.
It's a recent one, Killzone 3 Heighast edition pre-ordered (now playing), $250. Worth every penny :)

Well, I've never payed more than $60 or $70 on a single game, even the ones I had for the 360 were a bit more cheaper than they usually were. Maybe the only game I paid more than $60 was Guild Wars, as I bough the Standard edition for around $20, later I bought the Trilogy Edition for around $60 or $50 and I got the Eye of The North expansion for around $40.

That game alone costed me like $120 (more or less), and guess what?, it was totally worth it.

Totally looking forward to Guild Wars 2 =)

Around $70 for a black label copy of FF7. Thankfully, I have little interest in most current games, but I collect older games that I either don't have or was stupid enough to sell when I owned. Obviously, when I get enough disposable income to pay for really rare titles like Earthbound or Chrono Trigger (on the SNES), that cap will go up.
