Oh sure, they may look innocent and everything, but wait till they put you to sleep and you can't protect yourself against their high damage. All they do is SING at you! And it hurts like a *****! Then they have the gall to run away and make it so you can't get experience points OR coins. Damn you Flower Fields! *shakes fist*

They are from the first Paper Mario game for those who have no idea what the hell I'm talking about.

I could actually deal with those little nuisances quite well actually. I was so over powered in X that I just messed them up. XII I don't remember seeing any Tomberrys unless they were in the Pharos Subterra which scared the shite out of me, and in Crisis Core I messed them up with my extremely overpowered materia.
I think you're forgetting VII, VIII, and IX, where they were significantly more daunting to try beating. :D

I don't believe any were in XII, either, for the first time since they were introduced back in V if the Final Fantasy Wiki is to be believed. I don't remember any in XII, but it has been a few years since I played through it completely.
The only place they'd be is probably the Pharos at Ridoria in the Subterra. That place scares the crap out of me because it is filled with Magik Pots! >.<
IX I only encountered a few really but I was so overleveled that the battle just took a while. Never encountered one on VII because I only got to disc two before I grew bored of the game and I've never played VIII. I've only played VII, IX, X, X-2, XII (favorite one), and Crisis Core. I do however own FF V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, X international (coming in the mail and I'm gonna LP it), XII, XII International Zodiac Job Edition (gonna LP it eventually), XIII, Tactics, and Crisis Core. I've just never gotten around to playing them because recording my projects takes up my free time.

Anyway, another enemy that is so annoying are these little wimps!

Cookie for you if you know where it's from.

Skies of Arcadia is awesome but for that, true.

Ummm...I just want to enter all of Final Fantasy 8, just to cover a multitude of sins. Is...that okay?

Ah, well, the Master Tonberry's in FFVII are pretty badass (I think the only normal Tonberry is in the Golden Saucer Battle Royale mini-game thing), in VIII they're close to end-game enemies, and in IX they can be a huge ***** if you're not over-leveled just because you have to fight multiple ones at the same time.

And that looks like Skies of Arcadia to me, though I could be wrong because I never got too far into it (I was very young back then).

Oh, I'd also like to nominate the Rachni from the first Mass Effect on any difficulty above Normal. One spit of their poison drains all of your shields and then another hit and you go from full health to dead before you could even get cover between you and the damn bug.

Teemo in League of Legends.

I'm listing him as an enemy because I never play him.
Incidentally, he can also go fuck off. Those. damn. shrooms.

The nobody from DMC

God I hate these things, they have the power to drain your Devil Trigger, they can change their size in battle and when fully grown they throw eyeballs are you that can take a fair bit of health and when they die, don't stand over it's corpse when you proclaim victory they will explode upon death taking a large bit of health away

I'm currently playing Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, and whenever I see someone in robes who's in tight quarters, I get a chill running down to my very core. The very first thing that asshole is going to do is cast 'fear' on my entire party, leaving me with one or two characters to fight him -and- his friends. Those one or two characters are inevitably going to get held. Wizards can go to hell. Basilisks too.

For me it's got to be the Flood in Halo...they're literally so annoying. Or possibly Egypt on Rome Total War, so overpowered. And most recently, Drow Ranger -_-
what faction are you fighting egypt as? all you need is enough archers to rout their horse archers and/or chariots, or heavy enough infantry that they dont have enough arrows to really make a serious dent. (so, rome).

factions with phalanxes work really well too.

the only unit i find really annoying in rome is those eastern general units you fight with when going against armenia or pontus or parthia. THEY JUST DO NOT DIE!
they have charged my phalanxes head on, broken the line, routed the unit, and still only take 1 or 2 losses......
when the phalanx is tier 3 and outnumbers them 4 to 1.

I'm gonna go with n.
Wood Nymph, Water Nymph, you name it. You will never, ever have enough daggers to kill the blasted thing before it steals your shield. Or helmet. Or just-blessed Excalibur. Goram nymphs.

We probably have a winner here - the whole mind control thing really screws with your combat preparations.

Thieves and the fire demon dragon things from castle crashers. the thieves always knowcked you down and kept you down with arrows, constantly. twang. twang. twang. with the bows ENOUGH! and the fire demons because of the same, but with fireballs, which were more damaging, and they were much tougher to kill.

Either the Grunts from Halo, the Houndeyes from Half Life, or GODDAMN FUCKING ZUBAT.

Actually, it's probably the last one. The first two just had annoying voices, but they were at least satisfying to kill. Zubats have literally no redeeming qualities. Seriously. I feel like once you catch a Pokémon, you should encounter it less. Not by a very noticeable amount, just less.

Honorable mention goes to the Suicide Squigs as they appear in Space Marine. When there's a massive horde of Orks charging at you (and there's never a moment when they're not) they become nigh-impossible to see under all the Boyz. Gameplay becomes pretty much trial and error whenever they show up.

I would've agreed with you a few years ago, but the Prometheans in Halo 4 are soooooooooooooooooo much worse. They are scientifically designed to be as annoying as possible.
