Acknowledgment is the first step towards the solution. Here's a cookie. *gives TheRedLucario a tasty cookie*
*Munches* There is no real possible solution, but thanks. :3

Can you fly in a video game? Yes.

Can you fly in a BOARD GAME? Yes.

Just gotta move your little thing off of the board and you're flying. By the way, what's more imersive? Just sitting there with a game pad in your hands, or actually using muscles to lift your object? :p
Well, argument is invalid because TP said video games.

Actually, no. EVERYTHING in this thread is invalid. He said video games in his post, but the title said nothing about the exact TYPE of game.

Thus it's all sucked into a bloody blackhole and we're back to square one. :p

What? I think TP has more validation than the title.

Mirror's Edge. It is one of the few I've played without an interface. and sometimes it does feel like you're in the game.

But in terms of "I don't need to eat, my spirit is so high that I'm just goin' to sit here and regen." kind of immersion, Oblivion was a huge timesink for me.

What about the people that don't read the TP and go by the title? The title is self explanatory. If you put "The most immersive game ever" in the title, then say VIDEO games, you should EXPECT to get both VIDEO and NON-VIDEO submissons.

Not hard to understand.

I'd probably have to go with SWAT 4. That games level design and sound were genius, so much so even though I haven't played the game in over a year I still clearly remember a couple of the levels. For example; The Fairfax Residence. Damn that mission was creepy.

STOP ARGUING ABOUT SOMETHING SO FUCKING TRIVIAL!! IT HAS NOTHING MUCH TO DO ABOUT THIS THREAD.
Actually, we are debating games, which has something to do with the thread. If you don't want stuff like this happening, you would do good to put complete validation of your topic in your title.

Morrowind still for me I think. I quit it because I knew everytime I'd try a different character and lose months to it... It lost its sheen once I'd explored all of it, but it was still so addictive and absorbing. If it had been 10 times bigger I'd lost my life to it.

This argument is pointless. Thread titles don't contain every single detail about the thread. That's why you're supposed to read the OP. Don't waste any more space on this issue.

Yeah, I apologize. I'm in a bit of an ass-hat mode due to a current case on insomnia. About 4 days without sleep can take a tole on judgement.

To the OP, I apologize for the derailing.

I would say Fallout 3. I don't know why, but I just couldn't stop playing until I came out of my room 4-5 days later.

I'll have to tow the Fallout 3 line. Sorry, folks, but I pretty much snuck across miles of open terrain in a crouch, trying to get to the RobCo Factory, because I didn't want to be spotted by anything, like the robots that I really wasn't a match for yet. And even though a real person would be aching like hell in the knees for that, you'd do it just the same, 'cause a Mr. Gutsy at the wrong moment could ruin your day and you DO NOT want to be caught dealing with him without suitable cover!

Whichever one I'm playing and doing well in. JRPGs, Visual Novels, and certain action games have the greatest tendency to make me forget reality.
