Diablo 2, every so often I reinstall it only to play it and realize how much I hate the repetition.

Dead Space left me cold after all the praise. But it's got to be any Gran Turismo. My idea of the complete opposite of what gaming should be.

I would have to say Half Life 2 and it's episodes purely because of the fact that you had to stop all the time to be force fed dialogue or solve a pointless physics puzzle (I know that they were afraid the player might get combat fatigue but I think they should have been more worried about ambivilent players being forced to sit through what is essentially an unskippable cutscene they couldn't care less about).

This.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I could never get into the Diablo games. They just seemed like a lot of mindless clicking interrupted by occasional inventory management.

I played EVE for only like 15 minutes but it felt like I was navigating through taskbars for at least as long as bob barker's lifespan.

I once tried Desert Bus just to see how long I could play before I got bored. Answer: five minutes. Now THAT game is monotonous.

I'd have to say WoW, i still enjoy it and play it fairly often, but there's no hiding its a repetetive piece of grind.

How can that be monotonous?, you have to stear ever so slightly to the left every now and then, Oh the excitement!
