Hugo's House of Horrors. It's one of those old type in commands for the player to do kinda thing. Sorta like Zork, but with actual graphics.
Ah yes, that was a good one too. Never managed to finish the first one, but did the rest. *grumbles* That damn snake in Whodunit...
I've only played the first one, barely made it past the f*ing dog. Only ever heard of the sequels. I remember how sometimes the walk animation would fail and Hugo would just glide across the room. Good times...

"Siege," a Warcrafty-ish fantasy RTS from the mid 90s by Microprose, I think. So obscure that apparently Google has never even heard of it. In fact, the only thing I've seen that even still acknowledges its existence is on a website that I can't link to without getting warned/banned.

This is going from games that I own: Magna Carta. I know no one who has even heard of these games.

*Raises hand* Of course, I used to be an obsessive collector of JRPGs before they all got Nomura'd.

*also raises hand* First one kind of sucked, but I heard the second was better.

Betrayal at Krondor.

Though, that's not a series.

Followed up by Return to Krondor a few years later. That counts, right?

I really wouldn't know what out of all I've got would be considered the most obscure, but I've got some good ones...

> Zapper (It got two games with the same story, kinda like Sonic Unleashed.)
> Army Men
> Bomberman
> The Incredible Machine
> Break-Out
> BattleTanx
> Rocket Knight
> Earthworm Jim

Kingdom Under Fire. KUF-2 is coming out near the end of the year. I loved the first one.

Thats all I wanted to say.

The "Majesty" series needs more love. Or at least the original game. "Majesty 2" was pretty bad, "Defenders of Ardania" looked pretty bad, and "Warlock: Master of the Arcane" was decent yet disappointing, but the original "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" is a greatly under-appreciated classic in my eyes.

the Little Tails Bronx series. Its most recent entry is Solatorobo: Red the Hunter

Langrisser series (TRPG), because most of them never saw localisations outside Japan except the first as Warsong.

Shock Troopers 1 & 2 springs to my mind (think Ikari Warriors meets Metal Slug)

The Klonoa series, no doubt.

Lufia for the SNES. That was fairly obscure.

Mostly No, with a giant DOUBLE NO DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT OBSCURE MEANS for Bomberman and Earthworm Jim.

Most of the things listed here ARE awesome though.

I'll add Uncharted Waters to the topic. Maybe one day I'll manage to unobscure it with my singular inability to let it go.

Um... How about Muv-luv? I know, there are only two games so it barely counts as a series, but still, I doubt most people here know what the hell I am blathering on about. :p

Guns of icarus is a neat indie one, and it has a sequel out soon, does that count?
