The most obscure game you own.

I'm not sure what'd be the most obscure game I own... I tend to gravitate towards the offbeat weird stuff so a lot of the games I own are obscure. It'd probably be either Ninjatown on DS or The DOG Island on Wii that'd be the most obscure.

Tell me the name of the most unrecognized game(s) you own and why you got it.
Mine would be "Shadow of Destiny" for the PS2. I walked by it at a bookstore and saw that it sold for only 2 dollars. The premise of a man going back in time trying to stop himself from being killed seemed interesting enough for the price. It was okay for it's time, mostly for the fact that it resolved problems through ways that wasn't just "Punch the thing" and "Shoot the thing". It was different so I would say it was worth the money. So how about you guys?

My most obscure game is from the PS1 era, the time when Sony's console had the single largest game library of anything other than the PC. This game is one that set the bar for Monster Rancher, disgaea, jade cocoon and others.

ETERNAL EYES.

look it up.

This is me turning your world upside down! The Suffering 2: Ties that Bind..... *****!

Just joking about the "*****" bit. That was for dramatic effect.

As for myself, erm, I got nothing to contribute : (

I just wanted to let it be known that I'd played both The Suffering games.

Carry on!

I own Streets of SimCity, a not-too-oft heard-of spin-off of SimCity 2000 for PC. It's very similar to SimCopter, except instead of a helicopter, you're in a car.

Well... I own Xenogears, but while it can be hard to find these days, almost everybody knows of it. I also consider it extremely overrated despite that I own it lol.
As far as truly obscure games I have the following: Dobutsu Bancho, Aura: Fate of the Ages, the first King's Field (released only in Japan), Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom, Enchanted Arms (unplayable game lol), Legend of Legaia, Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked, and lastly Ribbitking.

I'm sure I'll be told that most of these are obscure, but of my collection it's what I consider to be such.

I own the original. There's a sequel too I believe. I'm a big horror fan but it was a bit too action-oriented for my tastes.

I've a few that could probably be considered rather obscure;

Doshin the Giant (GCN), essentially From Dust except it's 10 years older, and you play a big yellow giant.

Tombi/Tomba (PSX), my favourite ever platforming/adventure game. It's fantastic.

Gargoyle's Quest (GB), one of my favourite Gameboy games when I was little, due to the rather dark setting.

Deja Vu (NES), a really neat point-and-click mystery type game in a gangster setting.

I have a Ranma 1/2 import fighting game for the ps1. That is kinda out there . i also have initial D for psp but I do not know how rare that is.

side not the sequel is called the Suffering 2 the ties that bind and I have them both. They are ok but agreed a bit too action orientated.

I don't know.... probably Prisoner of War. It's a game where you play as a captured pilot trying to escape a German POW camp. It sounds like a great premise but unfortunately its pretty crappy.

As for an obscure game I own that's actually good, I'll go with Penumbra

Most likely Destiny of an Emperor for the NES. I have a lot of others as well... but I think I was the only teenager of my generation who thought of Dynasty Warriors as an action-game spinoff of an old RPG I used to play...

When I was kid, I owned a copy of Star Soldier: Shattered Earth, a top down shooter for my N64. Years later, I learned that only 500 or so copies of the game were ever sold anywhere. I wish I had held on to it.

Thief 2. It'd be more obscure if Yahtzee wasn't attached to Garret's junk like a $5 hooker. Some of us would like our turn Yahtzee!!!
