Believe me, I can understand how someone can not like a certain movie/anime, but just because you can't see why other people like them doesn't make them overrated. I want to believe that if someone worked really hard to get where they are now, they deserve the success and attention they're getting. I honestly can't name a single film-maker or writer or anime writer I truly hate just for doing his or her job.

Anyway, I want to keep my mind opened to all things movie/anime and learn from anyone who has something to offer. I might not like a certain film/amine but if someone who does has a lot to say about it, I'll listen to why they think it is good and maybe when I check it out again years later, maybe I'll grow to like it.

I'm not telling anyone to start opening up and begin liking other movies/anime because everyone else does. Think a movie is shit all you want, just learn to appreciate those who think the opposite of you. And just because they like a movie/anime that you don't like doesn't make them any less of a person.

Really, though, overrated is just another way of saying, 'wildly popular/widely praised but I personally don't like it', and I can think of a million things that fit that description.
