How about the concept of a creature from the dark ages, turning her suit made out of magically enchanted hair into a creature larger than a demi-god, and punching the soul of said god into the sun from outside the solar system. Despite the battle taking place just outside the atmosphere of Earth.

Snake being able to have a 10 minute conversation on codec, while 3 feet away from a guard with nobody being able to hear him. Also, surprised guards being able to project apparitional exclamation points.

It always annoyed me that in most modern warfare games you never get promoted. Especially with CoD. In real life you'd go through the first battle, and then they'd pin so many medals on you because of you practically winning the battle single-handedly. Then they'd either promote you to Lieutenant or give you a couple days break at least.

Also, the ranks in most games don't make sense. Lieutenants are OFFICERS, which means they don't fight in the front lines, or go into the most dangerous operations. And you don't even SEE Colonels out on the field. Most of the fighting is done by Corporals, Privates, and Sergeants.

I suppose hiding behind a wall to wipe jam of your face is a bit OTT, but do you really want to play Iraq War Game, in which you spend 1 year training, and in the first hour of combat get hit, then spend the next 6 months of the game lying in hospital?

OT: Well, the obvious one is hammer space. You run around the sandbox, collecting shit from dead bodies... but where the fuck is it stored?! Play Fallout 3 in 3rd person, and you literally pull weapons out of your back.

More specifically, KotOR, killing that big lizard/dragon thing, it's corpse disappears in two seconds. My god, things really decompose much faster 'in a galaxy far far away'.

I played a game on the iphone called 'Just One Life' or something like that where you had to jump across rooftops, if you mistimed a jump and died then you couldn't even restart the game! You died, that's it! (Unless you redownload the game of course)

In basically any fighting game, if you're a single hit away from being knocked out cold, you're still prancing around like you're perfectly healthy. Then after being smacked silly for a good two minutes straight, a single bop on the noggin sends you out like a light.

I'm not saying I don't want this in fighting games, losing half your health and only being able to plod around taking half-assed swings at people would be pretty darn dull.

I am assuming that this has alrady been mentioned, but I would say regenerating health. I mean, if you have been shot or stabbed, getting out of harms way and standing there a while in real life wouldn't make the wound miraculously dissappear.
