The on button for the wii. I mean why? It turns something on that noone in their right mind would want to use.

Yeah but that's what made it useful---it ended the ceaseless nagging! I could use a "shut up already button" in life...

Why do people keep saying the right and left stick click buttons on consoles, any good game has those as melee/sprint/crouch.

Probably any button in a fighting game that taunts, I'll taunt the guy once I've killed him.
the only usefull time was in war of the monsters you go into super saian or what ever where your hands glow orange and silver and you are invincible.

The windows key. Nobody uses that. And if you do, shut up, no you don't. Click the start button like everyone else.
Being a software developer, I use the Windows key all the time...

Windows + L = Lock your workstation...
Windows + D = show desktop...
Windows + E = Open new explorer window...

Just because you can't figure it out doesn't mean that other people shouldn't :)

The analogue stick buttons dont seem to have any use. Many people dont even notice that there is a button there!
I remember on GTA3 on the PS2 on the mission you had to honk to get the prostitute to get into your car, it said 'press L3' I thought the game had gone bonkers!
It was used in Summoner 2, which originally made me think the same. I thought they mislabeled that button and simply didn't test the game (That gam just felt untested in general)

The button to pick shit up in GTA4 I only used it once.
Are you kidding? I murdered people with fast food and cameras!
OT: I guess the blink button in Alone in the Dark gets the prize.

The select button in a lot of post-NES games is lightly used at best.

Also, the D-pad got largely neglected once analog sticks became common.

The taunt in Smash Bros. Nothing better than kicking someone off the stage while they do their little pose.

The eagle vision in Assassin's Creed.

Never used it once.
Yep, totally useless.

Apparently people playing RSV2 online think that the cover button is completley useless because everyone runs around tossing 'nades and shooting the place up like it's Halo, which is why I like Terrorist Hunt and the campaign much better.

I have a logitech G11 keyboard. It's main feature besides glowing blue is macro keys.
LOTS of macro keys. and 3 settings to record EVEN MORE marco keys.
All 18 of them (Including the 3 settings, 54 of them) have proven nothing but useless to me.
I would probably need to play MMORPGs or RTSes to really get use out of them, I suppose.

The white and black buttons on the old Xbox controllers. Horribly placed and used them only in Halo one lol
Only to be replaced by LB and RB.
They had a use, but I agree, they weren't in a functional position.

OT: The PS2 had a few uses for L3/R3 (i.e GTA3) but were they ever used on the PS1? They were there, you could play GTA3 with an original DualShock, I just can't recall a PS1 game ever using them...
