I would go with what I did in a Fallout RPG. My main weapon was a flamethrower (of course) and I named it Ozymandias.

I don't need to name them, they're known by the sounds they make when they kill...

I have four swords and each one has its own name.
Shogun, Ryuuyoku, Kuro Yuki, and Midnight.
I also have a bass guitar named Valkyrie.

Actually i already name my knives. I have a pocket knife called Vigilance, a butterfly knife called Monarch, and the one i actually like, an ASEK called Naga that my girlfriend gave me.
In the military we where told to name our rifles and baptize them in blood. (The blood being from the toren skin in our palm from many repetitions in reloading. We ain't sickos.)
I named mine Elisabeth, it was an AG3.

If I where expected to name my Iai I guess I would call it Sol Invictus. (by iai I mean an edgeless katana meant for practise in sheating.)

I have a hand and a half (bastard) broadsword with the word Faith near the hilt and hand guard along the blade's center. On both sides, in script.
My friend Jake has a bow he crafted himself and he names each one Belief, carving them into the bow and occasionally on arrows, if they're special enough and he puts enough work into one to merit it.
And my friend Ryan has a ten tomahawks he's made (and carries up to all ten from time to time) naming each one Hope.
... Its a running theme between the three of us.

Well, I own two guns: One is a .357 Magnum that is often referred to as "Shit!OW!" or "Oh my god!" or "Holy Crap that was cool!". The 9mm is usually known as "cop gun" because I bought it from a cop. I still need a 12-guage for my zombie defense kit, but I'm just too small to fire it, so that one's on hold*. I would name it: "The Decaffinator".
*Husband says you can't shoot a zombie with less than 12 guages, so .410 and 20g are right out.

A silenced sniper-rifle called "Mr. Sandman" and when it was shot, a bit of sand would come out the end. Or a pair of scissors called "Safety Scissors", it would be a one hit kill (throwing-knife type weapon).
