Carl blinked, his attention brought back to the fact that it was dark.

"Oh, one sec."

Concentrating again, he screwed his eyes shut. A few lights around him flickered and came back on.

"It's quite an effort to keep this wireless thing going, let's move fast."

Dexla hit a few of the guards, sending them flying a few feet back. The other guards looked in horror as the bones that covered her body slowly disappeared. "Now stop trying to kill me!"

The guards who were still alive ran away in a panic. Dexla finally followed the others and arrived next to them in a matter of minutes.

"What I miss?"

Stimulus followed the girl with the bone-spikes and found that she had met up with several other mutants. Stimulus held up his hands as he approached them, and greeted them.

"Hi. You wouldn't happen to be a mutant resistance would you? Or should I perhaps go look for another group of mutants fighting normal guards?" He said with a smirk. "You may call me Stimulus..."

Noticing that the area was rapidly clearing up, Conner returned to his human form and helped Wes get to the others inside the building. Despite the mess his friends had left from the guards, he surprisingly wasn't phased by it. Thanks, Bear, he thought, for being used to the sight of blood.

"Guys," he began, "anyone know how to treat a gunshot to the shoulder?"

 

[Kinguendo]

Jacob lifts one finger into the air and replied "Cauterize the wound..." with a grin on his face as a single energy blade pierced through his fingertip "... but it will hurt, tremendously.".

He walks over to Connor and continues "Now, hold him still.".

 

[Jedoro]

"Better than nothing," Conner noted, bracing Wes for the burn. "It'll keep you alive, man, so just try to relax."

 

[Nukey]

More bullets pinged of Adrian's metallic body, bouncing off towards the walls and the ceiling. An echoing click filled the room as the last guard ran out of ammunition, they were now defenseless.

"Get the fuck out of here, I really don't want to see the others see me let you go." Adrian said motioning his head towards the door, an awkward smile danced on his lips as he spoke. The guards didn't question or hesitate, simply ran out as quickly as they could, ditching their unloaded guns. "Ass holes."

 

[Kinguendo]

Jacob dusted his hands off as he walked away from Wes, he said "The bleeding has stopped but he still needs medical attention, however that can be done later on...". He scanned the crowd of misfits and asked "So, who here is in charge? Because we need to get out of here!".

"Yeah, who the fuck is in charge?" Sal said with a grin, finally finding her way to the others.
"Anyway, I say we just use the front door and make a run for it." She reloaded her tranq gun, thankful for a chance to pause and rest.

"Sounds good to me," Conner sighed, supporting Wes. "I mean, we have who we came for, right?"

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"And then some..." Stimulus said to the mutant who asked. He would have to learn everyone's names, but now they must escape. "As for that bullet in your shoulder, I can remove it once we're in a safer environment. But right now, we haul ass.."

Earlier I detailed that there was an exit wound, so there wouldn't be any bullet left in his wound.

Wes leaned heavily on Connor, deeply paled from the blood loss and the shock of cauterizing. His breath was ragged and shallow, coming in shaky gasps. How long? . . .

"Hey, hey, stay with us," Conner reassured. "We're heading out soon, and then we'll get you some real treatment, alright? Just hang in there, man."

Wes sighed and forced a weak smile. "A'right." He said, nodding.

Jacob walked behind the others in the group, his eyes blackened from the regular beatings from the guards and scars scattered across his torso and arms from the torture sessions they plan for the more resistant or "dangerous" mutants... The experience had changed him, and he had never felt more alive.

A wicked grin crept onto his face as they made their way out of the compound which had broken him and remade him a monster of sorts, before he had been against mutant rebellions feeling they would only instigate violence... Now he saw them as a necessity to rid the Earth of the cancer which was slowly killing it... and his brothers and sisters were the weapons needed for the task.

As Carl walked his eyes fell upon their 'rescuee'. The look on the mutant's face was familiar - Carl had seen it on a few soldiers in Afghanistan, ones who'd been onvolved in heavy fighting or traumatic events. Bloodlust.

Shaking his head, Carl continued to walk, telling himself to keep a close eye on the new one.

 

[Jedoro]

"Right, we're moving and you're going too slow," Conner began, "so I'm just gonna carry you, man." He gently lifted Wes into a Fireman's Carry, keeping the pressure off the wounded shoulder. Feel better, Bear? I've got him, nothing's gonna happen while he's under my care, Conner thought, feeling annoyed with the bear spirit in him.

If someone could find Malcolm's unconscious body near the reform facility on their way out, and bring him back to the resistance camp, that would be awesome. I'm putting myself in a coma until I get back.
