"I'm from Dayton, Ohio. But I only stayed there about three weeks out of the year. My parents were big time activist so we spent a lot of time traveling and standing outside corporations with picket signs that had ironic slogans on them."

"If they were protesting most of the year," Conner started, scratching his head, "how did they afford to fly places, or even keep you all fed?"

"We didn't fly.. We drove everywhere in an old beat up van that ran on used vegetable oil. They were... hippies.." Dexla said, much to her embarrassment. "But they fed me and clothed me. It wasn't a terrible childhood. It was just.. an odd one."

"You were homeschooled then? I mean, you don't seem like a dropout or anything," Conner noted, trying not to sound offensive.

Adrian hung his head at the drop out comment, having the memory of him losing everything he had for a stupid mistake was unbearable. He faced away from the others and looked up at Soap, still floating in her magical bubble.

"I sure was. My mother was a teacher before she was a full time activist. She taught me almost everything I know." Dexla thought about her parents for a brief moment. She missed them, a lot, and was wondering what had happened to them.

"What about you?", Dexla said, trying to change the topic. "I mean, what was your life like before coming here?"

"Not too great," Conner began as he spun around to walk backwards, tired of turning his head. "Dad left nine years ago, mom had to work all the time. I grew up in church, but I still felt out of place until the other kids thought I was cool for telling a bear to leave our campsite alone. I felt more at home after that, but something always kept bugging me, you know?"

"I know what you mean. I never really fit in that well. People always cast me aside because my parents were hippies and I was basically dressed in rags." Dexla was silent for a brief moment before she continued to talk.

"We fit in now though. At least to some degree. We're surrounded by other people who also have powers."

Do you hear that? one of the black suited men whispers over his comms.

I have sights on one of them she's in a bubble? comes a reply over the earpiece.

Wait out till we have more targets on them, Red 1 out, the Commander finishes the comm chat, waiting for more of the mutants to appear in the killzone.
Just a bit of action to keep us on our toes :)

"Yup, and hopefully none of us will be going anywhere anytime soon," Conner replied, running into a tree. "Ow, stupid tree." Turning around to claw at the tree, he stopped when he smelled the faint scent of people. "Hey guns, are we upwind or downwind from our camp?"

Sal was getting bored, and decided to drift higher. Almost hidden by the tree's, she spotted a large building.
"Sweet, I think we found it." She started floating back down, the bubble brushing lightly against the tree tops.

Carl nodded.

"Well I'm from London originally, moved over to the States when I was 10 and lived in Richmond, Virginia. It was quite a shift..."

He frowned as he heard Conner's question before licking his finger and holding it up in the air.

"Upwind, why?"

'Lo friends, Mr Toaster has allowed me to join you.

Real Name:Geoff Uchion

Alias:Vereor

Age:19

Gender:Male

Appearence:Usually thin and tall, Vereor's appearance changes depending on his mood or what is needed for the current situation. The only definite part of Vereor's appearance is his cloudy grey eyes. He wears a trenchcoat, white button-up shirt, blue jeans and a fedora. Vereor prefers to go without shoes, instead opting to thicken the soles of his feet with his ability.

Personality:Very quiet and withdrawn when around people he does not know, his very strange, almost demented personality becomes more apparent as one gets to know him better.

Power:Vereor can change his physical characteristics, including adding muscle mass to his body to strengthen him or shape-shifting as a disguise.

Bio:Geoff discovered his powers fairly recently, at age seventeen. For a short time, he worked as a vigilante under the name of Birras, finding a drug dealer, taking his form and following him until he could find the dealer's supplier. At this point, he would go to the supplier while wearing a wire and attempt to get information regarding the drug trade in the city. After getting all the information he could, Birras would drop off the tape at a police station anonymously, and in a different form each time. Eventually, he was discovered, and was being hunted by the government's reformation program. He was contacted by Magneto a couple of weeks ago, promising justice and revenge against those who would attack the only ones who could help.

So, should I just meet up with the group a little way's up the trail?

Jason caught up with the group in front of him, because they seemed to be having a conversation, so he thought he'd see if he could join in.

As he caught up they were talking about which wway the wind was going.

"Oh, well, I guess it doesn't matter, they're aren't talking about anything interesting. How is wind direction relevant!?" JAson muttered quietly

Hiding in a tree with his skin turned a dark green, Vereor observed the group to see if they matched the description Magneto had given him. Deciding they must be the right people, he jumped out of the tree and announced himself, "Hello there, you must be the Resistance."

Wes flinched at the intrusion, but quickly realized that it wasn't an ambush. He paused to appraise the mutant, ". . . Indeed. Who are you?"

"They call me Vereor," he said, extending a hand before realizing he was still a hazy shade of green. "Ah...one moment, these things slip my mind," Vereor shimmered a moment and became a pale peach color. "As I was saying, I was out on assignment when Magneto diverted me to meet up with you lot."

"If we're upwind from our camp, then we've definitely found the other camp," Conner observed, "and there are quite a few people there, so I'd recommend a quiet approach." As he knelt down, he began shifting to his hawk eyes to try and spot some individuals in the distance.
