The new Pokemon Game. WTF?

Now pokemon is hardly intelligent but at least there is a chess like "weaknesses versus strengths" situation.

Koei games.. I see why some like them but I see lazy design. More lazy then Pokemon .. at least they changed up things quite a bit with Black and White.

It is in the end an off shoot so...it doesn't has to work. It could be horrible but it also could be just fine. This is not their A game, this is their B side.. and you know some B sides are good

Well, I always was hoping that they would eventually make one game that was a bit darker or more adult...this looks like niether of those things.

Got my hopes up only to see the sub-par, Mystery Dungeonesque gameplay.

This is very unexpected. Being a dynasty warriors fan I am well aware of Nobunaga and the crew that runs in their particular stories. But I never saw a combination of them and Pokemon. I can't even begin to express how interested I am in the premise.

Gotta tell my pokemon friends. Gotta tell them all.

A tactics game with Pokemon sounds like the ideal game for me. I'll be pretty upset if it doesn't get localized.

Sure as hell didn't see that coming, I was expecting a Pokemon Grey since that's tradition, and that's a little out of left field.

Hell this could work, Pokemon does need something to keep it entertaining and interesting that doesn't involve adding more Pokemon.

Pokemon is one of the few series that I want to stay the same. If they want to tweak it a bit, fine, but do it as a side-series like ranger, or mystery dungeon.

Actually, quite a few people said that they wanted something new (including me). This is very interesting. I'll definitely try it if it is localized.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this might be the one AAA game I buy all year next year. Mostly because it'll be cheaper than all the other games on my "maybe" list for that (possible exception of Layton vs. AA assming that gets localised, and it won't) and partly also because the normal Pokemon formula is getting old, and Mystery Dungeon's proven that stuff like PP and all the different species can work in other types of RPG...We have standard Japanese, roguelike, and having a strategy RPG actually looks like it will be pretty cool.

...Not to mention that I really like Japanese history, although Nobunaga's Ambition to begin with was only somewhat grounded in that. And we have pretty conclusive evidence that Pokemon weren't around back then.

They're not mutually exclusive. Just because this game gets localised doesn't mean your precious Wii Mystery Dungeon won't. And if it's PMD, then this one might determine whether or not the others do, like Xenoblade and the other two Operation Rainfall games.

A pokemon game with RTS elements? MUST PLAY. (Mystery Dungeon 2 calmed my hunger for one, needs a new replacement now)

I also want it to be out of japan as well. But I do ALSO want Pokemon Grey.

I have to admit, this has me interested and I might pick it at some point, if it comes to the UK.

However I'm still holding my breath for the Ruby and Saphire remakes, come on Game freak make them already and they better not be a 3Ds exclusive make it for the Dsi as well.

DO WANT! seriously. i love games like this, and ive already burned 1000+ hours on the older pokémon games. that formulas gotten stale, no matter how much tweaking it gets. while i didn't look into the spinoffs, this has seriously got me intrigued. ill be hoping for a wide release.

No. If they make a Pokemon MMO, it's going to be a POKEMON MMO! No crossovers with other genres, dammit. They need to make a Pokemon MMO now before Blizz's version gets popular.
