The New Riddick Game.

Does anybody plan on buying it? The first game was amazing IMO. This new game looks ok as well. I love the darkness of all the games... and I must admit, being Ven Diesel is just fucking bad ass!

I've hear the new installment had put the focus more on action than on stealth - I think the two games together balance it out pretty well, since I thought the first one hat a little too little action

Yes. It's actually so good, you wouldn't need a movie to compare it to.

Butcher Bay looks great, and Dark Athena (Albeit not as good) is still certainly enjoyable. Well worth the money.

the 1st game was great, it wasnt a "movie to game" since it was a prequel to the original movie Pitch black.

Pitch Black is one of my faves films (its became somewhat of a cult classic), prefered it to Chronicles.

I rented it, its a really good game but it not realy my thing, and yes Vin Diesel is a bad ass.

I already beat first part when it was on the xbox, and I've heard that the new section is about 5 or 6 hours long, so I'll probably just be renting it. I am pretty pumped to play more Riddick, the first was very well done.

Maybe if this was ten years ago and we still had the thoughts of Escape From Butcher Bay fresh in our minds it would be making bigger waves, I guess it's better than the Duke Nukem Forever method of blowing 12 years on one game.

I thought Butcher Bay was roughly based off the film, and the filmw as based after the events of Pitch Black, so...

i have it, and i have to say that i liked dark athena A LOT more than butcher bay. it just seemed like butcher bay got into gunplay earlier than dark athena, and the stealth sections are much better than the shooting, at least in butcher bay. i found that the gunplay in dark athena was a lot more fun, and the stealth in that game was also handled better, IMO.i also thought that dark athena was more atmospheric, especially towards the end. oh, and the multiplayer is crap. it feels like unreal tournament, except worse, and its laggy as a *****.

allthough the chronicles film was based after the events of Pitch Black the original game was based on events before the Pitch Black film, at the beginning of Pitch Black film hes been captured after escapeing from butcher bay. in the original game you start as a new arival to the tripple max prison Butcher bay & proceed to escape, its telling the story of how he mannaged to escape a triple max prison & got "those" eyes. this new game apprently is abit differant (even though it started out as a straight remake) & since i havent played it yet i dont know whats new.

Escape from Butcher Bay was one of my favorite games and I'll also have to throw my hat into, "Vin Diesel hissing gravelly threats from the dark is sooo bad-ass" ring. Although all these reviews I read make the Dark Athena portion sound like the worst thing ever...
