What do you think the next big paradigm shift in gaming is? For awhile now we've had plenty of sequels, reiterations, but seldom anything new. I'm kinda getting tired of these games.

RPGs - Bioware, Square Enix etc have been making the same games for decades. Fallout is also a 20 year old brand.

MMO- WoW has been here for 6 years? The rest pretty much clones.

FPSs - Now into the modern phase with Modern Warfare and Bad Company. Other than that it's the usual slew of WW2 shooters and Zombie shooters. Valve constantly innovates, but they release games too slowly. Bioshock was the recent one in memory that affected me, but it was mostly the story that excelled.

Action/Platformers/Adventure - MGS4, GoW3, Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank 7, Prince of Persia 4. Too many sequels!!! That's not to say they're bad games, there's just no feeling of excitement anymore when you know what you're getting.

So what new IPs do you want to see made? Stuff like Fl0wer, Demon Souls, Nier, Mirrors Edge etc that could possibly lead somewhere new

Because WoW isn't a clone? Don't see much difference between it and EQ. There's also plenty of non-clones out there: Eve, City of Heroes etc. Problem is that most of these are old as well.

I'd love to see MMO's reach a new level. I want to see the game worlds become alive, I want your missions to actually affect the game world, I want the economy to be dependant on the players. It's just too much risk involved in making a game like that so it probably won't happen unless a small developer takes it on and the chance that a small company having the ability to pull it off is kinda small.

I'm still waiting for The Last Guardian.

Team Ico always knows how to bring some new innovative stuff to the table.
