Do you believe that the next Nintendo Console will keep the motion controls of the Wii or do you think that it will go back to a basic controller?

Nintendo will continue to use motion control, I am pretty sure that they intended to make the previous form of controller obsolete and The Wii is beating the other 2 consoles.

They're not going to let a moneyspinning gimmick like that go, but chances are, all 8th gen consoles will have them, so the winner next time around will be the console with some kind of brain helmet controller.

Wii is a class for itself in consoles.

Do Nintendo really need to make a next gen console? It'll probley just be much cheaper for them to just stick with the Wii. It'll still be making tons of money next generation.

Cry all you want about the Wii's stupid motion controls, Nintendo can't hear you though the mounds of money. What do you think Nintendo programers do now-a-days? Come in, roll in money for a few hours and go home?

Im hoping it keeps them, motion control technology may be half-decent by then. And yeah the wii is in a seperate class in terms of the console wars.

They will create a new console with motion control methinks, but just an enhanced version.

I also think they will bring a new console soon, maybe after microsoft, maybe before, who knows?

I bet it will be motion sensative ebcause the success of the wii and because the next one is going to have holographs (aparently) so those are two good reasons why the will keep motion sensetive. Also its a good thing to use as a punchline in a joke

thats is true but if you look at it there are many more gamers under the 18 yo age limit. the whole "wii is outselling Sony and Microsoft" is because the wii is one thing CHEAP you can get 2 wii's for the price of one xbox or ps3.

The question should also be, will xbox and playstation (to a greater extent than what they have already)institute motion controls into their systems?

It worked wonders for the Wii, and of course they will keep it around, I just hope they will continue to make games that don't HAVE to follow the motion rules, and opt for button pushing every once in a while.

I don't know really, I think the Wii controller is sort of comfortable, even if it's not used for much motion. I think there in a bit of a deep hole at the moment because whatever they do, it's going to seem like a step back.

What really worrys me is other consoles buying into motion controls. With Sonys and Microsofts next consoles be motion sensitive? Hope to god not! The Wii is fine and dandy, but you still can't beat a nice fat controller in your hands. Wii is fun in small doses.

I really hope Sony and Microsoft don't follow Nintendo down the money hole to casual gaming.
But if I was asked to pick two companies that would most comfortably sell out every last piece of their identity for a little bit more money, I would probably pick Microsoft and Sony.

Could this be the last decent console generation?

Sony already did. Six-axis. It's a joke really.

Well since nintendo is practically printing money now because of their uber sales I don't think they're gonna loosen their sharp grip over the motion sensors...

They will probably just improve the motion controls and use it in the next console. They will probably come up with some other gimmick for the next Wii too.

All I'm hoping for before I die is full virtual reality. We haven't played left 4 dead until we've lived left 4 dead.
