I'm rather disappointed that my two favorite classes(heavy, medic) didn't get any new items. Hopefully the next batch of community items will make up for that.
Also, the pyro pack rocks. Bow ties are cool.
Damn right. Bow Ties (and fezzes) are cool

I believe the doctor also agrees with you. Bow Ties (and fez's) are cool
Now, if they made a Medic pack with a long floppy scarf, and a sonic weapon....

I hope that the fez is a reference to austin powers with the man who would answer any question after 3 asks. It even has the right sunglasses. It would be hard to put it in, but I would still love it if there was new line put in somewhere that is along the lines of "Hello? I am very badly burnt, can someone call an ambulance" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMufib-_gLs&feature=PlayList&p=D48078EB1AC673C9&playnext_from=PL&playnext=1&index=7 The part in austin powers with the man in the fez

I'd be happy with some brainy specs and a piece of celery.

This kind of stuff makes me wish I could do 3D modeling, so I could design weapons for TF2. I already have a few ideas, and I'd love to make them a reality...

I did like the Pyro and the Sniper ones. But I am starting to feel that TF2 is getting too complicated for newcomers with all these updates.
Yep, I've always played CS so I figured shift to the companies other massive shooter sounded like a good idea. (I've heard nothing but praise for TF2). So after I joined a game and got quickly killed by a dude with two hats, I was hit in the face with a massive feeling of what the fuck?!? I played for a bit longer, getting no kill at all and shit load of deaths and still have absolutely no idea whats going on...

I really hope they slow down with the updates for a while. Hell, I've only had the game for about a month, only have 10% of the achievements, and like no weapons... Still, it is cool that Valve is still updating their games. I might go actually play as the Engineer now... I didn't when the update was first released since everyone else was.
I do wish their were some heavy items, since that's my best class. Also, I'm afraid this may unbalance the game, since half the items are mostly cosmetic, only a few new weapons. Some classes are getting left behind. But Valve is really great at keeping Team Fortress 2 balanced, so hopefully it will get evened out.

Eh, what the hell. I accept this update. I'm not the only one who thinks the Scout's new pistol is OP, right?
Yes, you probably are the only one, I'm sure most people are reasonable and aren't judging an unlock before they even know what it does, let alone actually use it.
So that statement really makes no sense, how do you judge it to be Op just by its model?

God, I love Valve. Seriously, this amount of support and updates for one, superb game? Wow.

I'm such a fanboy :)

The article said that the new pistol fires four rounds at once. That makes it sound like a miniature shotgun, with better range than the Force-A-Nature.

Hats with abilities... I knew this day would come. I can already feel the blackhole of massive spamming of hat topics on the valve forum forming. The community is full of loud mouth idiots already and now they're going to be set on fire. It's a good day to die...

Meh the new stuff lo9oks interesting but I'm going to wadge its largely cosmetic rather then functional. TF2 is beginning to increasingly resemble a room full of spinning plates though I feel bad for the guys who have to balance this crap.

I just played leapfrog with like 5 of Funk's articles. Damn you, links, and your ability to put me off of doing proper work. Bah.

On the bright side, the updates look quite awesome.

On the downside, anyone who wants to get into TF2 at this point is going to be inundated under a lot of material, and a lot of updates that they'd have to sort through.
