As far as I can tell, it reads:

Oh, bad taste there.

It's the pleasure of it being forbidden. Simple as that. People wanted the pictures because it were "real" celebrities. It kind of baffles me that people don't get that.
Exactly...not to mention that many people involved are very upset about having naked pics of them stolen and leaked.

Hahahahahahaha, that was my reaction when I first heard it was called "The Fappening". I mean really? and its not just female its male as well or does that not count. I don't understand why everyone is so upset about it, the tabloids have been publishing nude celebs photos for years and its considered ok. What I don't understand is why do people upload such things to the Internet/cloud/file share services in the first place.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's someone Photoshopping a picture of Erin right now.
No need. Rule 34 of Critical Miss already exists on the internet. And I think Grey is aware of it, too.
Why'd I google that? As much as I love Erin just........gah fuck. Gonna go remove my eyes with a spoon.

Seriously though this is kinda horrifying, knowing anyone with an iphone can be hacked. I don't have one (I hate apple) but I know people who do.

I think its actually 4 the jurnulizm.

Which is probably, somehow, a really significant misspelling that nobody by Grey and Carter understand.

Seriously, guys? You had to invade her privacy like that for a joke? Hasn't Jennifer Lawrence suffered enough without exposing her fur and tail for all to see?

GOD. You guys are just heartless!

(odds that someone takes this seriously, even though I directly referenced part of Pikachu's anatomy?)

I think that was clever branding; I'm sure there have been other big leaks of bunches of naked celebrities, but I can't name a single incident. By naming it, they gave it staying power and weight, which is exactly what you want when you aim for infamy.

OT: Now I really want to Lawrence scanalously revealed in a Pikachu costume.
The unfortunate thing is people really do care. It's just a reality. People want to see these famous folks with their naughty bits out. Hell, I'm curious, just not curious enough to go looking for leaked photos.

Oh God, and I just read someone's comment that there's Rule 34 Critical Miss. Not only am I not curious, but I'm a little terrified.

The photos are also getting displayed on canvas at a museum in Florida. [http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/jennifer-lawrence-kate-upton-leaked-photos-shown-exhibit-article-1.1927689][footnote]News source reporting on story[/footnote]

Some message about privacy and Google and all that.
Call me skeptical, but I don't think it was really about the message.

Also, how has only one person made any jokes about this shocking revelation so far?

C'mon guys. Usually someone would be all over that.
As far as gaming sites are concerned, the leaks couldn't have happened at a better time. If you haven't noticed, the gaming community has been too busy ripping itself apart to worry about Jennifer Lawrence's jibblets.

I won't be surprised if in the future there was a strip commenting on its terrible quality. :p
Some of it is actually pretty good. I mean, as far as the horrors you can encounter on paheal go. Did I just admit this out loud?

You can tell it's real when it's not nearly as sexy as the good shops. Ya know, like an amateur shot it. I saw it, it was kinda fun in a "so that's what she looks like" sort of way but it turns out shes just your average everyday girl in more than just her screen presence.

I wonder if this event will have any lasting repercussions for the paparazzi industry, likely not, people will likely forget about this after a while and the tabloids will be free to post their pics of celebrities standing in front of their windows nude

Not gonna lie, This lady [http://i1.cpcache.com/product_zoom/498888789/zonetan_quotwatching_you_fapquot_iphone_4.jpg?color=White&height=460&width=460&padToSquare=true] and "and she's watching with glee" was pretty much the only thing to come to mind reading that.

Rule 34 Critical Miss? SO that's what their graphic designer Penny's been up to!

OT: The only sane thing I can say about the photo leak is that whoever at 4chan did it are a bunch of sick fucks who should all drop dead already, and Google and Apple really need to up the security on their clouds. Better yet, celebrities, if you have nude pics of yourself meant only for your sweeties, don't store them in anything that can connect to the net. Try a removable external HDD.

The real message is "I am a fame-hungry douche who will jump on any controversy to draw attention to myself in the laziest way possible. Please punch me in the face." And here I am cracking my knuckles.

Yeah, I can't tell if this is actually trying to get a point across (ignoring the fact that only the dumbest need a damn art exhibit to tell them this), showcasing a current trend in the navel-gazing, bafflingly inefficient, and pretentious way only high/fine artists and curators can, or just trolling for the tickets. Either way, though, I feel like Hennessy Youngman [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkSG9wrFPCQ] is behind it.

All I can say about the fappening is that I do not own any nude pictures of myself, and thus this will never be a problem for me. It's that simple, people, just don't take pictures of yourself naked. Let the Photoshop people do it for you, but then at least you have plausible deniability.

I don't find it any more alluring or interesting than if she'd purposefully released them herself. It's not like there's some deficit of media involving naked people on the Internet.

I feel like this comic was written by someone who definitely went looking for the pictures as soon as he/she heard about it. :) At least that's what happened to me when I gradually started feeling gross about it and gave up. Who would have thought that thousands of disgusting pornographic photoshops would ultimately end up protecting her privacy?

The hell?

How is that even legal? Though the second link has a link to a charity related masturbating to stolen images thing, which...yeah...
